To this day, I still feel Leanne is the best singer to have appeared on any of the Voice shows. I have yet to hear anyone else do as she does so consistently- sing with support, ON THE BREATH. Her vocal lines contain silky smooth legato, and her intonation is very even, as a result of the solid breath support. Yes, she does oversing quite a bit, however when she tones it down, she's still phenomenal. And whether she's belting or using lilting floaty head voice, her control is masterful. I cannot stress enough, Leanne is the most technically proficient vocalist on any of the Voice show iterations. I am still bowled over by her talent today as I was 7 years ago.

She didn't flop. She came into the market at a disadvantage. All voice winners do. The image the public has of you is one of "everyone can succeed". Once you actually do, they are on to the next story. To TRULY succeed at performing, you have to be larger than life. The Voice contestants are not presented as that. So, she can still do it, but she'll have to work very hard to overcome the public's notions of her.
