MY DAUGHTER'S LAST DAY OF SCHOOL! | MOM OF 4 | ANNA SACCONE

Today was my oldest daughter Emilia's (11) last day of primary school! I woke up, did a workout, fed the dogs and brought the babies to school like normal. Jonathan brought Emilia to school and she had a church service in the morning which I opted not to go to. Instead I stayed home and cleaned the house/made beds, lol! She got home at lunch time and I made the big girls lunch as they were starving. I made tuna wraps and I had leftovers from dinner. Then it was time to pick up the little ones from school and Emilia wanted to join me. She wore her signed school shirt which she is so proud of! And received some adorable fan mail which she read in the car! We got home and I cooked dinner. I made fried tofu with noodles and a veggie stir fry. Afterwards I did laundry (it never ends!) and Dre (5) was doing every possible delay tactic to try to get out of going to bed! I finally got him down and went to bed myself...phew! See you on Tuesday! 🥰💖

Ps. Tell Dre if he doesn’t go to sleep he loses his bedtime stories. That reader was loud and peppy. You need some quiet boring stories. If he’s naughty, one night of no stories and a tantrum and he will stay in bed and sleep. He seemed jacked up on sugar. Did he have late snacks? Sometimes it’s just a growing thing. He is also testing boundaries with you so make sure you don’t let him go too far with it but I would do the same but turn down lights and sound. I’ve had to take away a fave toy for one night and that cured the test of getting out of bed with one tantrum. All I had to do is say a toy would go and they popped into bed after that. 😂 parenting is a balance sometimes and defo picking your battles is the best thing. Dre seems like he can kick up a major tantrum when he wants to. Lol

Sorry you missed the leavers thing but sounds like you are way over her school and didn’t want to deal with the discord. Glad Jonathan sucked it up for the team. I bet that was an awkward time. The not today Satan on the wet shoes earlier cracked me up. I love you guys. Isn’t it funny how the littles will talk quietly where you can’t hear to get mad and do all their naughty at zero volume. Lol. I hate poorly picked out produce also. First world probs and all but if you are busy and counting on it it sucks. I had an entire box of basil delivered with brown spots on the leaves and was planning a caprese salad. Booooooo for goofy choices. I tried an alternative delivery service and it’s been harder bc they end up missing large chunks of my order. Also was delivered an eggplant that was fully brown rotten area like on 1/2 of it. Very frustrating if you do cook food and try to eat healthy stuff. Sometimes picking out your own pays off but it’s hit or miss bc going to the store yields it’s own probs and I’m sure being you, you have to dodge people also for better and worse. Glad you are donating the old uniforms for the kids who need them at school. Even private school families sometimes need a break on the cost of uniforms and clothing for fast growing kiddos. And for Emilia’s need for wearing the same thing daily, just get her one or two more of that “uniform” she prefers for summer at home and keep them on hand. Dre’s like a sleepy drunk coming down for water. So funny. He’s so naughty and I bet he was tired and beastly the next day bc he was up so late. Talk about not today satan. 😂
