Many people from all over the world, men and women, traveled to Alexandria to get an Ijaaza from her since she had the highest Sanad of her time (shortest). May Allah have mercy on all our scholars and teachers and guide us to Adab and humbleness when discussing knowledge, rulings and differences in opinion. Many are saying she shouldn’t be there but rather with women scholars instead (which I don’t disagree with) but no context is given as to why she is being quizzed by the men.. Perhaps with her level of knowledge and the way she is upholding herself.. there is a mahram somewhere close to her but just not visible in the video. I doubt she’s just there alone. Don’t forget many Quran competitions also require that females are reciting in front of men also… May Allah SWT protect her and all our sisters from being a source of fitna and elevate her status. MaShaAllah her knowledge of Quran is truly admirable in a world where many women are just obsessed with “looking good” and being a slave to societal standards. Let’s celebrate her accomplishment and leave her situation (being in front of men) with Allah SWT.
