I think is both animation and motion capture. If you look at the credits in the song they mentioned a choreographer and also a motion capture studio, 3d director etc. So They used the best of both worlds for this. Btw the 3d studio they used is kinda crazy since they worked in a lot of well known anime like Demon Slayer, AoT, Bocchi the Rock, also 3d stuff for other talents like Bae, Zeta, Lui and Fubuki.
