Fun facts:The giant Space defender at the beginning is supposed to be a titan. The globules section is a more simplified version of how a Space Marine are created. Each "Defender" is a SpaceMarine, Red is blood Marine, blue is Ultra interrogator Marine, Orange with flame designs on should is a Space Marine of the Salamander and the skull is a Apothecary. Space King is supposed to be Sanguinis. The huge booby female alien is supposed to be a tyranid with the face and hair of the female antagonist looks like the enemy of Starcraft

Parody of Warhammer 40,000. The "goodguy" army of humans have elites called space marines. A space marine in training is taken (sometimes but not always voluntary) when they are pubescent boys, given a bunch of implanted extra organs that makes them 8 feet tall super humans. That is why little boys and holy globules. There aren't any female space marines and some fans have complained. That is the reason the little girls were thrown. Hope that helps 🤷♂

It's inspired by Warhammer 40k, but absolutely IS NOT Warhammer 40k.😂

To be fair Warhammer 40k has a lot of similarities to both Halo and Helldivers. Like the deploying from drop pods is in Halo and 40K and the kidnaping of kids is a 40k thing as well (space marines are made form 10-12 year old boys). But IPs made in the 80s (think warhammer was made in 84 but could be wrong) based off of Dune, which is the granddaddy of a lot of space operas, is going to share a lot of elements with newer stories in the same genre. Besides satirizing a totalitarian government placed in the future wasn't really a new idea even in the 80s. Also before someone corrects me, 40k lore is vast and how space marines get recruits vary depending what group you're talking about but as a general rule they are taking 10-12 year old boys, doing invasive surgery on them, and brainwashing them to serve their chapter.

Warhammer borrowed from a lot of concepts including Dune. They heavily borrow the concept of Chaos from writer Michael Moorcock as well.

Roger that I'm not really familiar with War Hammer 40k yet I'm waiting for the game to drop to dive in

@@ReggieWolf w8, sorry, I'm confusiled, the game or a game? Because there is like 50 40k games out, 70% of them are trash but there is a lot. Or are you talking about Space Marine 2? Also don't worry about it, the lore hole is bottomless in 40k been reding books for almost 20 years and I don't know close to everything about the franchise. Really, 1 game isn't going to nail all of it.

@dagonofthedepths I was talking about the game, I saw a trailer for an upcoming one that looked interesting

@@ReggieWolf Gotcha. Guess your talking about space marine 2. Most Warhammer 40,000 games start with Warhammer 40,000 in the title. Like Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, or Warhammer 40,000: Rouge Trader. We abbreviate it to just Space Marine or Rouge Trader.
