A lot of his specials are pretty much charge specials. Much like Guile or Vega from Street Fighter so it gives them a rather unique moveset when it comes to it. If they like those kinds of characters Heracross is pretty much perfect on that front.

The first special you have to charge back first like the normal attack and then flick forward plus b, but you use one bar of meter by pressing down b again and it sweeps for a low, and the second special you just need to charge back before flicking forward, back and then forward plus b

His special seems weird but its easy to do. The one you were trying to do. On my keyboard I hold back a little bit, then press forward, back, THEN at the end forward & special attack button at the same time. ie, hold A a little, D, A, (D, K) The last two in are basically forward and B at the same time.

Me using keyboard actually find it easy to use the Horn Sweep and the Mega Horn Flip, but find it almost impossible to do the Horn Turret (and therefore, any of the combos that involve it), but seeing that it’s meant to connect with down A makes it a lot easier!

@@Bambididnowrong charging the attack doesn't mean you have to just hold a position while charging. What Imar does in the video is that he gets advantage of being already holding down when using down A and uses it as charge for Horn Turret. You can start charging during the animation for another move and it will count for performing the move. Another set up would be holding down during the animation of one of your aerials and inmediately up B after landing. This trick goes for Heracross and Chesnaught's specials

In the anime it is stated that Pinsir and Heracross are attracted to nectar. As Bulbasaur has a growing bulb on its back it has plenty of nectar. A recurring gag in the anime consists of Ash's Heracross trying to sneak on his Bulbasaur to drink his nectar, this victory pose is a reference to that. There is a similar reference with Primeape in one of his victory poses as he pulls out and wears Ash's cap, referencing the episode in which a Mankey steals Ash's cap, it evolves into Primeape and Ash catches it
