Heraklion - We messed up big time

The port buses you out of the port and it is a 15 minute walk to the old town. There's plenty to see and do once you get there. The archaeological museum is fantastic. And there are city buses that take you to Knossos or a beach trip to Ammoudara beach. I learned about all of this from other KZbin videos.

Thank you for showing your 'mess' with this port. I am planning for a cruise in March and I've found that my family are not really interested in the ship excursions (they all seem to be to places away from the city which might say something right there!). It looks like we will walk or taxi into Old Town and do a bit of looking around. I hear great things about the Archaeology Museum but it might be a short day in port!

Thanks for watching. Planning is everything when visiting a new port that you haven't been to. The problem with the hop on hop off buses are that they are infrequent that you could, if not careful, wait hours for the next. We use taxis quite a bit in ports especially the caribbean.
