At that point it was just execution via firing line. But yes, the whole encounter became downright easy once contest mode ended, since the attendants couldn't one-shot you nor keep you from the plates when you could kill them back just as fast.

sorry to contradict you but in the lore it’s not taniks :/ it’s a kall of the House of kings I think Since Fikrul became a disciple of the Witness, either the Herault of finality is a scorn who became the Witness's protector, or when Fikrul stormed the Warlord ruin, he was able to kidnap a few members of the house of kings and deliver them to the witness

By far my favorite encounter in the entire raid. The structure, the mechanics, mf gigga chad Taniks coming back for one last ride and the music MY GOD. Seeing everyone pull out swords and charge him followed by just the sheer amount of explosions and the screen shacking as you attack him is so damn badass

If it were Taniks, Bungie would also let us know via boss design, music, or name. Neither of those share a resemblance to Taniks. Not to mention that Taniks is most likely done with since he was a Raid boss already and we have his helmet at the Europa camp. I have no clue why people are fixating on this boss so much. Nothing points to it being either or yet people want to keep spreading misinformation about it. So many people actually think its Taniks or Chelchis, its crazy. And if Chelchis is actually introduced in the future, people are going to look back at this and say "OMg HeS BaCK" and call Bungie lazy for reusing a boss.
