So funnily enough, Boot of Drumming and Phase Boots are actually kinda good on Primal Beast. Is it meta? No. Is it good? Debatable. But I will say that it is fun just hitting drums and phase together and then just running down enemies with stomp

As a child (without knowing the song or meme) I also fixated on this pig iron quote, to the point where I have made recurring jokes about it my entire life. I remember dumb League builds where you could do similar things to rush towers level 1. Given the lanes were set up where you'd have one person top, one person mid, two bot, you'd meme and take the top or mid tower to allow your laner to have much better roam potential. Nowadays you can't do it, and it's probably a good thing since it really messed up your own team when people tried it due to the same farming issues.

Yeah I do think Dota 2 has a lack of snowball problem. It's kind of the opposite of league. In League people snowball so hard that by 15mins goodluck making any comeback whatsoever. In dota it feels like even 30mins in it's anyone's game most of the time. No matter what the kills or gold lead say.

Only on high mana targets since it's percentage based. Not great in the lane, better the max other abilities.

WCIII Dota was more kill centric, especially earlier builds of the game. Damage scaling heroes could quickly jump up and make life horrible for support. Imagine having no money, a minimal defensive item selection for supports and being three levels down because of a couple kills and even getting to farm lane meant not leveling as fast, nor getting as much money. It really did not take many items (which bonus money from kills) and a couple levels and suddenly you had stun lock Ursa, Troll, Naix, AM.

The leveling/xp is an issue in DotA right now. Many times have I played mid in turbo, won lane, and went 3-0 with a 3-4 level lead over the other mid laner when they have no kills and 2 deaths. Then, the other mid gets help from 2 gankers, one kill on me, and they're even to me on levels after that kill. How does that work?

Yeah ive like 400 hours in dota 2, comfy only playing turbo and random custom games, ranked doesnt interest me, and I think I'm .. pretty good? I don't know. I have a 53% win rate - but I know turbo isnt super balanced. I'm still learning all the heroes but really really enjoying techies, CM, axe, timbersaw, WD, willow, lich and my highest played hero and the one that made me fall in love with the game - Rubick. Turbo has sped up game progression, play some regular games and you won't lose the lead so fast, it's kinda built into the mechanics of the gamemode you're choosing to play - take it from another turbo main :)

Regarding the XP, does creep XP increase as the game goes on? That could be why Troll was able to level that quickly.

Does the UK not have any regulatory boards, commissions or agencies to handle poor internet service? Kind of crazh how companies like Virgin just get free oligopolicic reign. Something like the CRTC in Canada or the FCC in America? Pyrions data woes must be so incredibly frustrating. As soon as your provider knows you're going to the FCC or example in America they usually send out the real professionals to try and solve your problems. The CRTC doesn't fuck around in a lot of situations either. Also, does the UK have Ombudsman who can represent you and forward your problems to higher levels of gov't? Pyrion could easily leverage his audience to get a lot of movement If he even got a handful of his viewers to write handwritten letters they could hey some measurable action. If he got only the people who live in his area to represent their experience sin his local area they might be also able to get even more pressure applied to the service providers in that area too. UK does have all of those things. Ofcom is our regulator (they handle everything from radio to internet to post, since it's Office of Communication), I don't know which Ombudsman you'd go to since we have several related to different areas. No idea whether Pyrion's complained or not, but from what I understand (which is just a guess), it's that the physical tech where he lives is currently very out-dated and it's taking a long time for anyone to update it.
