Are the other Tamiya 1/48 armor kits like this one with the metal bathtub hull or is this kit just an odd one out of the litter?

All "old" tamiya 1/48 tanks had die cast metal hulls. Only new tamiya 1/48 kits have all main parts in plastic (but with some metal parts you can glue inside the hull if you want your model to be heavy) :) personaly I love old versions - metal hull is easy way to have all wheels in perfectly straight line without wigle :))

Now that i have built this model myself i can say you have made some mistakes. 1.The tracks 2. the small gun (its not that hard, all you have to do is add a bit of cement on the plate attached to it.) 3. The grill (cmon man)
