"Komatu" was the old way of spelling Komatsu, your pronunciation of the latter ( ko-ma-tsu) is correct.

It is a very accurate representation of the original. I know that because I developed it. Yes, that's true. I was able to because I am about 300 years old... more or less. Sadly enough I can't help you reading the first page of the instructions because I forgot all of the japanese language. Don't frown! That happens we you are becoming old. You forget things. What do I wanted to say?
