Thank you, I really want to show how much we grow in the desert. It's one of the best climates because we can grow food all year long but I don't think most people know its possible. I love herbs too they are my favorite.

I am also growing most of the herbs you are growing. I'm not growing stevia. I am in zone 9b low AZ desert. So far I haven't put any thing under shade cloth. They mostly get morning and early afternoon sun. I love all my lizards also. They are everywhere doing their bug eating jobs.

I am in a condo but I have a raised garden at my daughters house which is only about five minutes away. This morning I went onto my patio and realized it was time to move my herbs into my garden because the sun is just getting too darn hot. Even my basil wasn’t like in the heat on the patio. So I just finished transplanting and everybody looks much happier and hopefully they can spread their little roots out and keep growing and keeping healthy. I’m in Tucson foothills.

Thanks for all of your wonderful garden shares Tiffany. I’m struggling to keep two stevia plants alive; one is gone and the other is struggling. I’ve been trying desperately to save it but to no avail. I guess I’ll try again in the fall. Also, the thyme. I thought if I grew them in a shady area they’d be fine. I guess I’ll be trying the different varieties to see which one(s) thrives in my garden. Thanks again for sharing and keep cool in that heat. Happy gardening 🌿🌸🦋🦎

Anytime, you have to also think of the soil them itself too. Planting them in pots will allow you to bring them inside or with something that has more ground cover to keep the soil cooler. But sometimes its best just to use it in its season and let it rest. They will come back as long as you keep the roots watered.

On top of herbs growing, we all use to live on what we all now call weed's and some people spraying horrible things on them to get rid of them. We all need to relearn them all over again. It has definitely gotten hot this month. LOL!! Some of the herbs that are having trouble in growing outside, then maybe inside the house during the most trying time for them might be best. That kitchen herbal garden. 😉😁

I was laughing with my friend the other day talking about the old round up commercials (the I hate dandelion one) and now people are paying like $5.99 lb for dandelion leaves. We totally all have to relearn it will make such a difference in everyone's health. I try to grow some in the house but I have a dark house. We don't have any windows really facing the sun so we can keep it cool in the house but I have a huge dried herb stash. Like a full cabinet lol I might have a herb problem 😆🤣

@@TeamBensonHomestead But it is a good herb problem. I grew up running into the Mosquito fog on the streets in Mississippi. Yes, it is Very bad for you, along with the D D T's that were sprayed on the grass to keep the grass lush and the weeds at bay. Nowadays I refuse to even use roundup type product's. Besides what all it can do to our health, it isn't good for the earth. I think the older I get, the more hippie I become. LOL!

Our 105 equals a Central California 95. The small percentage difference in humidity makes the difference. Being raised in CA, CA is still very hot. We are now in Southern AZ for 15 years and our plants do best under a shade cloth or speckled shade provided by a Mesquite, Ironwood, Palo Verde, African Sumac, etc. Having a misting system also works well. Some of my best plants are from the mint family, stevia, peppers, bearded iris, canna lily & our Rosemary always thrives. We've just learned that full sun never means full sun
