Herc slow motion canter and trot

The equine canter is a 3 time beat with a moment of suspension after the sequence. The canter lead is determined by the forleg which moves last and reaches furthers forward. when a horse is on the left rein, if he has the correct lead, the left leg should lead, and vice versa.
In this Left rein canter, the Right (offside) hind initiates the movement, the left (near) hind and right (offside) fore leg move together as a diagonal and then the left (near) foreleg moves. There is a moment of suspension and the sequence is repeated.
At 20 seconds, the pony carries out a downward transition to trot and you can see the contralateral (opposite) front (fore) legs and back (hind) legs move together as diagonals with a moment of suspension between them.

They are doing it so you can see what the horses sceleton is doing in these gaits so people can learn about it and in future help other horses and I don't really think the horse minds that much because they will wash off the paint straight after , it's just like face painting

I'm confused if it's a canter or a lope there is a difference just trying to learn it. But they both have the same movement. I was hoping to see a rider to so I can look closer and see what movement they do with the horse ( just letting you know I don't have a horse but I know the basics of riding I didn't watch videos learning the basics I love horses so much my dads cousin owns a horse school which goes big in holidays )

The canter and the lope are the same, if the horse is wearing a western saddle it's a lope, if the horse is wearing an english saddle it's a canter

@@erinsequinelife4275 Incorrect, they are the same gait. Look up a video called 'Lope vs Canter' by 5MinuteHorseLessons. He fully breaks down the lope and the canter. The only difference is the saddle.
