I heard a completely different version of how Hercules took down the Hind. He did use an arrow to bring it down, but the arrow he shot didn't draw any blood. Instead, it pinned the Hind's front legs together, without damaging any muscles, tendons, or vital arteries, and rendered it unable to walk or run as long as the arrow was there.

You forgot to mention that when Eurystheus ordered that the hind to his menagerie, Hercules told him to bring it himself. When Eurystheus tried, it ran away
