He not only sent a letter back to me, but he sent me some pictures--I don't mean typical publicity stills. These were the kind of pictures you have in your cigar or shoe box. Personal stuff. Him on his boat, and a couple of other family type shots. A great guy, one of the truly best. Pat

I really think Reeves look better with the beard. He had kind of a boyish face, and the facial hair really defined his masculine look, in my opinion. But most people don't even realize that he wasn't in shape when he did "Hercules," not even close. Can you imagine if he was?? RIP, the greatest bodybuilder in history... period.

Reeves looked so much better without facial hair. The beard covered up his striking good looks, and he would have been just as effective in the role without it.
