These warlords don't get it, yes they couldn't die so in terms they were immortal but they lacked the ability to regenerate from injuries, diseases, etc so which meant they would suffer from human frailty like growing so old that you no longer walk, having diseases that eat you alive but you cannot die. It reminds me of a Greek story I heard when I was growing up a woman who asked the gods for immortality but forgot to ask for eternal youth as well which resulted in her growing so old she couldn't no longer walk, eat, etc but still could not die because of the gift bestowed upon her lol. If you had seen Sabrina the one on Netflix the devil cursed Lilith with immortal for killing and eating their baby but gave her all the weaknesses of human fragility meaning she can still be plagued by all things that affect humans, e,g old age, the betrayal of your body and mind as you get older, diseases, etc she just couldn't die from it lol.
