I never noticed the 1st time I watched this, but after her 2nd little stumble the group tended to try and keep her in the middle of the road instead of letting her walk on the edge. "Here, hon, it's easier to walk here" Just fascinating!

It's so heartwarming to see how concerned the whole herd was about Khanyisa when she fell. Fortunately, it was in soft sand both times and she had a soft landing. Even so, many trunks reached down to inspect her little body to assess her well being, and to help her up. There is no love in the world like that of an elephant herd for It's babies. I'm overjoyed to see Khanyisa receive this kind of love and support from the herd! She has found a place in the herd, one in which she will be loved, nurtured and tutored about how to be an elephant! What a blessing for our little albino princess Khanyisa! 💕

I can relate to this little one. Once being an orphan myself until a loving family adopted me, I often felt lost and confused. I can only imagine how Khanyisa felt when she was hurt and alone. We both have wounds that never heal but we learn to adapt with love. This baby is in her element, filled with happy days and new adventure. Her new family has draped her loneliness that filled her heart with a renewed happiness. I wish the same could be said for the countless others that are alone, left to wonder what and why. I do believe that elephants have the capacity to show feelings as we do.You are the candle that lights the way. Thank you for the renewed happiness you give me. I will love all of you always! Sure, because humans never adopt children that are not their own, we just throw them out with the bath water. And no one's ever heard of a wet nurse before. Why do people assume that they care more about a species than they care about themselves? All of these elephants are rescued, so why wouldn't they feel compassion. But then again, we all know what terrible memories they have!? ;)

The more that I watch elephants in a social group, the more I am amazed by the family oriented structure that exists within the herd, even if the herd only consists of two individuals. The care and empathy that they display is awe inspiring. Pity some sections of the human race didn’t show the same love and respect for each other.

Looking back at this video, you realize how small and fragile she was. Watching her videos for the last 2 years, you notice that they accepted her as part of the family since that beautiful video when she was introduced to the herd. They immediately came rushing and encircled her (no one would even dare to harm her at that moment) That was the moment she stopped being an orphan and became part of the family. Your amazing way to slowly getting her accustom to them and them to her has created an even deeper bond. Elephants are incredible, sensitive, loving and family oriented animals. Their sense of being a group, a unit, a family is amazing

Jeff, that's not entirely true. We do care, and very few of us want destruction. Yes we have psychologically dysfunctional people who have no empathy and are all egoistic and greed. Wars are result of mostly greed. Destruction of the planet is result of survival and capacity of the brains and hands, not because we don't care. If people can do something eco-friendly without it being a penalty, they rather do it so. During the last century we've moved a lot towards greater caring and respect of nature, wild life and other beings, the values that were lost for a while when "civilized world" lost connetion to wild life and religions taught we were special, detached from the rest of lifeforms and basically made them unfeeling items for us to use.

@susan ivy @Una Milan @Rhys Daniels - Speaking as an example of how compassionate and loving adoptive parents can be ... I am Eurasian, half Chinese and half Swedish and the first couple passed on me, even though they knew my heritage beforehand! My older brother who had different birth parents, had already been adopted by the wonderful people who didn’t hesitate to give me a home and more love and attention than most of my friends received! I was the only person who was biracial, but all of my friends wanted to be adopted and many of them wished they were Eurasian as well😂 ... I may not have resembled any of my family ... but like Khanyisa💕I always knew I was safe and at the only home God had intended for me! My mother told me He planned it that way, so I didn’t end up in the wrong family😌 We also knew how much they loved each other, so we felt secure in a happy, loving home♥️ I wish all children were as lucky as these two adopted children! Our parents are both in heaven now, but my brother and I are very fortunate to still have each other🙏🏻

Been there myself on my KTM 790 Adventure R. Spend a lot of time in the woods and tricky sections. Fortunately sand falls tend to be more cushy than rock. There is no graceful of cute way to fall, but there is a funniest way to crash IMHO, the proverbial "Flying W". Coincidentally, because I do adventure riding and tend to ride in remote areas, I usually ride with a small "herd". Picking up a 500lb adventure bike after a fall can be daunting especially if you are exhausted. Just like the herd with Kanyisa, we help each other right ourselves.

I love how the herds dynamics are different from the wild. I love how everyone loves each other. If humans were this loving and protective of their families as are these animals, the world would be a little better. I would rather deal with an animal than a human any day. Love what you are doing 🥰🥰 Thank you for saving these babies

They were so concerned for Khanyisa when she fell. When I was a kid my Mum was, "you're right, up you get!". It so reassuring to know that when it's time to loosen the reins, Khanyisa will be part of a family that truly loves her and cares for her safety...even if our princess is a wee bit extra. 💕
