My personal favorite is the Otoroshi. It is said to be a sort of gargoyle that sits on ledges around fences and gates and waits for people to pass through. If it senses evil intent in someone passing through, they will jump on said person, knocking them down, and then grab them by the leg and drag them down to the underworld.

That biwa guy is just like "Laidhibi(doll)" from Manipuri folklore It is basically a doll made from scrap made by small young girls they play them like a friends we call them "ita( friend,{girl} )" and after we play with them we let them sleep we sing lullaby. And if we forget to let them sleep she will wake up in the middle of the night and would cry under banana tree . That is basically scary . Well i myself being a modern child did not play with laidhibi instead i played with plastic Barbie. Well it still gives me chill down my spine and also if you want to make laidhibi you need a teacher who are skilled basically we cant make them with 0 knowledge.

Kana Keri makes sense because when I was younger my hair had a shorter strand one day and my mom thought I cut it, I can and could swear on my life that I didn’t cut it (my siblings are too tight strung, they wouldn’t of gained anything out of it to)

There’s one youkai I heard of that I just kind of adore: the tsukumogami. What is it? It’s just an object left to sit for enough time that it develops a soul of its own and becomes a sentient, animate object. A common type is the karakasa, an animate paper umbrella that hops around on its handle-turned-leg and has a single eye and large mouth on its canopy.

Well back in old japan their hair was invaluable to them. It was super prestigious to have a lot of hair to wrap up. So a monster that just up and irreversibly damages your pride would be pretty scary back then.

This story is absolutely incredible. If there’s a type of movie that absolutely devastates me, like ugly sobbing, it’s movies about innocent people being coerced by police and falsely convicted for crimes they didn’t commit. The thought of a killer feeling the same way watching a movie, to the point of turning himself in… WOW. And as always, you did an amazing job, and I love the look around the area.
