Thanks Matt. I’ve always been an advocate of investing in the stock market because it has paid off handsomely since I decided to get into it.

Totally feel you on that! Lina Dineikiene's strategy has been a game changer for me too. It's like hitting that major milestone when you look back at how it all began.

Interesting picks Matt. I’m in Meli, knsl and Berkshire as well. Have you ever considered Markel? I’ve been following you for a while and it seems to me like it is your kind of company. Also are you still holding Boston Omaha?

Markel is my number 12!

Very interesting insight, thank you. I am 31 and have been an MF member for 8 years. I have MELI, PINS, O & KNSL. I was surprised to see that a lot of your top 10 were relatively short term holdings (4-5 years). Cheers from the UK and thanks for your videos

Thanks, Matt, I enjoyed your presentation on your largest 10 stock positions. Interesting stuff! Of those, I only own Realty Income.

How big is your Redfin position? Is it one of the speculative plays?

Matt, based on your top ten stock holdings I suspect that your stock portfolio is a relatively small percentage of your overall investment portfolio. In other words, you probably have investments in various ETFs and or mutual funds.,and the collective total dollar value of those far exceeds your individual stock portfolio. Would also suspect that the cornerstone of your investment portfolio is something like VOO or VTI.
@MattFrankelCFPАй бұрын
I see why you would assume that! I actually have about half of total investments in real estate (investment properties) and would generally consider that to be my "cornerstone". But definitely have quite a few ETFs too.

GM and brand loyalty don’t belong in the same sentence.

are there any industries/sectors you would avoid during a crash/meltdown? why?

GM, Berkshire Hathaway, and Wells Fargo are feeling a bit stodgy. But that's probably why they are too 10. Lemonade, SoFi, and Rivian got thrashed.

Wondering how a top-10 stock holding can be a loser but still in this list. Must've had a large initial and follow-up investment I guess

Unfortunately you're right. I invested rather heavily in that one. Still love the business, but has been dead money for me.
