practice slow and correct. How slow? Super slow! So slow that you are able to play it completely correct. Dont worry about the rythm, just get the notes right. Then, when you have practiced slow for some time (at least a few days), your hand will know what to do, and you'll be able to play with great speed.

Today I met Dodie and she was honestly the nicest person I've ever met. I was so excited/nervous to meet her that I started having a panic attack while meeting her and she noticed that and just hugged me and said it was all going to be alright. This was the happiest day of my life! Thank you Dodie. I love you.

My dog passed away this week. I'd had him since I was 5, and I don't really know how to function without him. When I was 16 I had to leave school due to illness, and I became very nocturnal. So during the Summer months, I would take my Dog out to a small Park bench that over looked a field, and together we'd watch the sun rise. This song has brought me so many tears, but also happiness and joy for those calm summer moments I spent, just me, my dog and the Sun. :') Thank you, Dodie.

I always come back to this video. I think this is the first dodie video I ever watched, and it means a whole lot to me. A little stereotypical story here, but I think I'm depressed. I haven't gotten myself checked (because I can't), but I've been like this since I was nine. Watching this video all those years ago really helped me, and it still helps me to this day. I'm thinking about getting a little sun tattoo on my arm in the future, but we'll see about that when I'm older. I'm definitely in a wayyy better place than back in april- my ex gf had just broken up with me and obviously quarantine hit hard. sadly the pandemic is still happening but at least I'm allowed to go to my classes now! I had covid a few weeks ago- wasn't fun, don't recommend. I am indeed in love, I'm dating a beautiful girl who treats me right. however, I can't pinpoint a moment where the heartache ended. I can't in full honesty tell you that I'm completely over that breakup, and maybe it'll always sting a little. but so many happy days have happened since I left that comment, days that I think back to all the time and that make me smile constantly. I've learned to be more grateful, there's beauty in everything. all you need to do is look a little closer. :)

hi dodie!! this might be lost in the sea of comments but i gotta put this out there before 2017 ends, if not 2018 me is going to be absolutely disappointed heh :)) so i have not felt my best this year and have probably cried more times than i have ever did for like idk 5/6 years?? sometimes, i don't even know why i'm crying, and i just really really hated myself for it, because i felt so stupid and weak. i was kinda living the dream, i was finally studying in my dream school which i have worked so hard for, and i was meeting these new friends who i have so many common interests with, and i was surrounded by opportunities, love and care. i literally could not ask for more. but yet, i felt super vulnerable and lost because i miss all my old friends and secondary school, and super useless because i was struggling to catch up with everything that was taught because it was all just so new and i was really in the dumps. and then you uploaded a new video. i'm not really sure i remember which one it was, but you were smiling in the thumbnail, and i thought, "what could go wrong man?" i was so right :))) your vibe was so enthusiastic and cheery, and it was such an instant pick-me-up. i went on to binge all your older videos from both your channels, and it literally brought me so much comfort and joy. you have come to be my cozy happy place, and for those instant mini comfort and joys, thank you so much
