Here is how you can replace cooling fan on a volvo s60 or Xc60 yourself and save $$$

I just repalced cooling fan on a 2016 volvo s60 and whole front end had to be removed to do it, but it is not as bad as it seems,

alt and AC is on the front, you don't need to remove bumper, there are two screws on the top torx 30 I think on these two plugs in shape of triangle, we remove these triangle plugs and then we can move cooling fan nearer to the engine and remove it, I did it 2 days ago

Don’t do all that. Unbolt the 2 #20torx radiator plugs on top. Gently pry the top radiator back . The fan wil pop out.

thank you. sadly very poor design on the part of volvo engineers. also putting a/c, alt water pump etc on the back of engine. they need to learn from toyota engineers.

You don't need to take the bumper off to get the fan out
