Because irl safiye aka valide and hurrem had an amazing relationship and guided suleiman together. But show directors didn't know how to show that without dropping out the fight so the show ratings stay high

Agree, Valide saw Mahidevran’s real face and motives. It would not make sense for her to back Mahi after this as Mahi wanted to replace her as well. Self preservation would have let Valide keep Mahi at a distance and ally with Hurrem as she knew that Superman backed Hurrem.

Hurrem is ambitious but she loves Sulieman. Mahidevrahn only cares about herself and Mustafa. She has shown greed all along, from the ring, to the throne.

Not exactly. In a way it was Sulejman's fault. He's a Renaissance, a jewelry designer- but his wives are not his models. He could have made 2 identical rings with a different stone. Say an emerald for Aunt Sasha and a sapphire for Makhi. Maybe even a 3rd ring- a ruby for Aunt Ayshe.

@@tatianalyulkin410 quite frankly it is his fault in many ways. But, these women did know the harems rules. They were all instructed on hierarchy and procedures. And I know that most of this is the writers but, greed and ambition are branches of the same tree. One just has a better impression. And if Mahidevran had just stepped back and brought Mustafa up well, a lot of this strife would have been averted

@@poyznelf I'm not defending Mahidevran, but then Hurrem should have known the harem rules. Suleiman wasn't hers, and when a concubine was with him Hurrem turned crazy and paid it with her such as Mahidevran in the beginning. Again, i'm not defending Mahidevran but I think these rules are for both Hurrem and Mahidevran. Also Suleiman made her hate him with his bad behaviors towards her, so it's normal that she didn't want Suleiman to keep living.

This was the moment (atleast in the show) Suleyman chose between his children. Everyone can say whatever they wants to, but Suleyman loved one woman, was the first to have countless Sons by one woman, he had hoped with Mehmet he could avoid killing Mustafa, but the sons were to closely matched. He not Hurrem (no matter what she did or said) signed his death warrant, and Ibrahim’s.

I cant say whether he was right about mustafa or not but we do know irl that ibrahim pasha became too ambitious and essentially a traitor by calling himself sultan-which is why he was executed

Agree, I also think that Suleyman slowly realizes that Ibrahim had more influence over Mustafa than him and that is a danger to him Suleyman. Also, Suleyman recognizes that Mustafa is becoming more prideful, arrogant and combative towards him. As a sultan he feared being dethroned,

I can’t believe Valide sided with Mahidevran after all of this. The show didn’t do justice to Hurrem and Valide’s real relationship. Apparently they got along great

i get it hurrem loves sultan and all ..but the fact mahi cares more about herself and her son is because she knows how strong hurrem is and sultan loves hurrem more...its natural to feel defensive!!!!
