I left my family, my friends and my hometown to travel the world. This year we are going to Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Mexico and New York. For now we are staying in Quito.
Tena is one of several Ecuadorian cities founded by Gil Ramírez Dávalos, a Spanish explorer and conquistador. Dávalos - who served as Governor of Quito from 1556 until 1559 - also founded the cities of Cuenca, Baeza and Azogues.
Tena is known for the rainforest and rivers that surround the town, and it is popular with tourists. Many inexpensive hotels, tourist agencies, and restaurants cater to backpacker tourism. Tena is surrounded by forested hills and is located at the edge of the Andes, which are visible to the west.

Yes, there are several ethnic groups in the Amazon rainforest and in Tena, most of the indigenous people belong to the Amazon Kichwa communities. There are also Kichwas in the Andean Highlands.

I just came to Tena yesterday because I watched a couple of your videos and it looked like a nice place. I also would like to rent a motorcycle. Please tell me where did you rent one and how much? Thanks

That’s great! Hope you have a good time! I rented the motorcycle from a guy called Alfredo :/ I have no idea what his community was called anymore. I just know the way to get there. We paid 35$ a day if I remember correctly

I live in Tena six months every year. There are transportation options EVERYWHERE all the time! What are you talking about?

I am really not sure if you watched the video 😂 Your realize I am saying that it is not possible to rent a motorcycle, right? I never said once that there are no transportation options. Just that they are not as fun as a motorcycle. Please watch the video before commenting

@@DroschiYT You can rent motorcycles in MANY places in Tena. I live there six months out of every year. And the video got too boring to see all the way through. Your title implies a problem. There is no problem. Thanks for your reply.

He had issues while visiting as a stranger in the area. Of course if you are living there 1/2 a year each year, then you have local contacts. You are too judgmental buddy. Btw This guy's videos are not boring.

@@Donnie-Lee-Gringo Then why do a video making definitive statements that are wrong? Obviously he needed to spend more time in the area before giving advice that turns out to be false. May prevent someone from coming to this amazing area. But thanks for your 2 cents worth... lol
