Just did mine a second time, more agressive because of some horses getting on the lawn and having a snack and then it getting yellowy looking. Hi Daniel, I found your channel last year and followed along. I've never had a lawn looking so good... But I moved house and I've inherited a lawn that's really thick and green, but long and very springy, there must be loads of thatch and debris under there. I cut it today, just took the tops off, but I'm miles away from the soil. The previous owner hasn't ever scarified it - is it too early to take it down much lower and deeply scarify, or should I wait? Love the channel!

No crack on do as much damage as necessary to get it down to soil you will wonder what you done at first and your wife will kick you out for a few days but when she sees the results , the year after she will kick you out if you dont scarify it like last year
In oct last year I scarified, spiked, top soiled and seeded. Grass is almost 6 months old and theres meadow grass and weed appearing. Just wondering if I could put down a 4 in 1, scarify it. Let it recover then reseed end of April?

Hello Daniel, what i have found with the large heavy commercial machines is they just arent very good. What i mean by that is "good to use" to me they are made to last and that is the abiding principle of the machines. They always seem too heavy awkward to adust and hard work to use. Im thinking of buying a lighter, more user friendly machine that may last 2-3 years.
