Don't ever feel like references or light pads are "cheating" I'm glad you realize that now! It would be like construction worker not being able to use power tools lol or any other profession. Keep up the amazing work!!!! I'm new to my journey in this field our studio opens in a month

So true! I’ve been learning a lot about trades and they’re all so similar. Using everything at my disposal to make my art as good as possible is what it’s all about 🫶🤠 Thank you so much for your words! So exciting to have a shop opening up soon, I wish you the best of luck 🤘

@@Mia_SpeerProfessional Illustrators, concept Artists etc etc all reference everything when working to deadlines. They even using projectors and other methods to trace in compositions as they need to get the job done now and not next week.. it’s mainly beginners and hobbyists who belittle others for using tools to get the job done.

love love loved hearing about your art process - I find I judge myself for using references too, and it makes no sense!! I'm excited to reintegrate my light table back into my work flow after watching this. Thank you!

I’m so glad I found your channel! I love that you start every morning with gratitude. I’ve also started connecting more with mental health and I think as an artist we don’t always have to be tortured. We can find happiness and still be great artists.

This means so much to me, thank you for the kind words! I feel ya, I’ve used misery as a catalyst for my art for as long as I can remember, but it’s not what I want out of my art anymore. I couldn’t agree more!

I love this and love your art! I do stick and poke and I’ve wanted to transition into machine, I usually freehand everything so watching other artists processes helps a lot!
