Can we some pics of the rotary planes landing please? I'd like to study the effects of torque and P-factor at the slow landing rollout to see how accurate the IL*2 Flying Circus flight simulator is. Please? Thank you! 🙂

525Lines Theyre wood and fabric, an original ww1 era plane would last maybe 5 years before disintegrating in mid air...Most modern "ww1" planes are complete replicas with aluminium frames and non fabric skins, so they dont fall apart

Peter Jackson is one of those individuals who seems to say... Gimme, gimme, gimme!! That's Mine! 70 Planes?! Ugh! Ridiculous!
@sopwithpup015 жыл бұрын
Daniel D Daniel, it’s quite the opposite actually. We as a community are very lucky to have Peter Jackson as a champion for history. Without his passion and of course his money, the World would not have these incredible aircraft flying. Without these flying aircraft, there would be no tangible link to the incredible bravery of those pilots and observers who fought and died for their respective countries. The Vintage Aviator Company that Peter owns, builds these aircraft from original plans and materials (if available). They keep an almost forgotten and dead set of skills alive, and teach us so much about the people and the history of that era. Peter uses his wealth to collect and preserve so much from WW1 that would possibly otherwise be lost or destroyed. He and his team display these aircraft regularly so that our and future generations can learn from our history. That often quoted comment “those who do not learn history are doomed to repeat it’ , I think, is worth remembering. All the best.
