Came out of retirement, did a month of training to de-rust, and my mechanics sharpened back up... But my mental has always been garbage in this game. Even if I'm doing really well I'll still be really mean to myself for not reaching my "potential". Long story short, be kind to yourself. You won't jump entire ranks overnight and you have nothing to prove.

I dont have any issue loading rings maps through the bakkesmod plugins. If you cant find some maps you can probably ask around in a community discord for the actual files and just drop them in too.

What does rocket racing even has to do with rocket league? It's just more or less the look of the cars. If it had the physics of rocket league it would be interesting for rocket league mains. But i guess the target audience was more the fortnite mains. And taken into account that they removed trading (which doesn't even make sense) i just hate rocket racing a lot...

Never used custom maps and im gc3. So you dont need custom maps unless you play 12h a day and you are perfect on freeplay and you need something different. Freeplay is all you need some pros never played custom maps so that says its all excuses with the "i dont have custom maps". All you need is hit the ball clean and hard and take control of the game with confidence and fast decision making. This will get you to gc really easily. You just need speed, not mechanics. Mechanics start to matter after high gc3 where most players peak is ssl already.

Unfortunately im gc3 and i sometimes get bad mates. So in every rank you will get "bad" mates. Sometimes your mate could be BAD for you but GOOD for me and vise versa. Its all about what playstyle and how good chemistry you have. Yes you will sometimes get 1k points and you will lose becayse of ur mate. Part of game nothing u can do. More you improve, Better rank you will get = better mates. But even at gc3 some mates are just bad for that rank so.. "this is rocket league!" for a reason😉

for people who are gc2. all you need is mentality and warm up in freeplay untill you get warm, no need for all this crap honesty,i reached ssl by grinding freeplay only and a little bit if custom maps to say the least, but mostly it was freeplay and grinding ranked for an average of 4 hours.

Some advice from experience, try solo q abit more. You can end up getting too used to the playstyle and you end up on autopilot. I found going solo more made me have to adapt each game and learn

I can coach you personally I'm gc3+ Its not too hard to hit gc trust me. If you are c2 that means you can easily hit gc if you learn from higher ranked player. You dont need mechanics just some better game sense and little more speed on specific plays.

Usually I really enjoy your videos, but this one felt like a click bait to me, since it's not simple to put all the hours you need to train if you have a job and a social life. Hit gc2 on the old Xbox and a 70 inch tv. Upgraded to a monitor and series x and I’m consistently gc2 and I was 3 games off gc3 last season. Setups are so important

Im gc3 and my mechanics are really basic air dribble with really little amout of air rolling. I mostly stay grounded and make my opponent COME to me and overcommit and then i decide what to do from there. (Flick,Fake,Pass to m8 etc. Depends on scenario) You still need speed flip,Good recoveries, Defence in the air, defence from ceiling, Good shadow defence. AND most IMPORTANT, GAME SENSE. If you have better game sense than your opponents you most likely win unless they can hit EVERY SHOT perfectly. So yes you can get GC2-GC3 without crazy flashy mechanics. You need speed, not mechanics. Being close to ball and making fast decision to beat the opponent and bait them.
