An Uzi is a 9mm. There were other calibers, but 9mm was the most common. Yes, they were submachine guns that are only available in semi-auto now. But the way that fully auto guns work is that even with fully auto machine guns there's a selector switch or configuration that allows you to run semi-auto. I get that the Uzi wasn't his preference. I'm guessing he preferred the traditional handgun rather than a subby. But most subbies were available in 9mm.
