Clary being relieved that she hasn't been committing incest this whole time, only to instantly be told she in fact has still accidentally done the incest anyway, followed by Jace learning the truth about said not-incest because Sebastian wanted to clarify that he was not having an incestous relations with his father, but actually his sister which now makes it so Jace is in love with his sort of adoptive sister instead of blood sister, all while his adoptive brother from a different family is in love with him is so genuinely insane like.

I kinda had this moment with a lot of my guy friends and it actually does burn. I used to have a lot of guy friends and would be friends with them for years and share secrets with them, then at one point or another a lot of them ended up confessing they were interested in me and after declining their feelings a few times they all kinda stopped talking to me. Now that I’m in a relationship of 5 years, none of my old guy friends talk to me at all. I recently had one guy check in and tell me I could always reach out to him, and then asked about my relationship. When I said my boyfriend and I were going great and went on to ask him about his life, I never got a reply. If I was in Clary’s position and had no girl friends to rely on I would have crumbled.

This series is so nostalgic for me and I love these videos so much 😊 EDIT: Also my own out theory (aside from the fact that Cassie just hadn’t fully fleshed out parabatai) is that Alec’s unrequited crush on Jace hampered their bond because they weren’t on the same page. Parabatai are supposed to be in lock step, so when one of them is keeping this big secret from the other one, and their feelings for each other are mismatched, I could see that interfering with the soul binding a bit.
