As I've bowled more and more I have come to the conclusion that two handing isn't significantly better than one handing. I think that it's a lot easier to get hook from but at the highest levels the abilities of one vs two handers are not significant. Two handing is a great style to get more people into the sport but I truly believe that any style can compete at top level.
@drwisdom14 ай бұрын
I have been bowling for 45 years and know that two handers have more power. That much power is hard to control and bowling respects accuracy as much as power. So at the very top level two handers are better than one handers. But a majority of two handers don't have the experience and leave hard spares so they are very beatable.
@ianhoneycutt38584 ай бұрын
@@drwisdom1 Tell that to EJ Tackett, Kyle Sherman, Kevin McCune, and Jakob Butturff. While I agree that bowlers start out with more power, 1 handed bowlers can actually generate MORE revs than 2 handers.
@AOKBinary4 ай бұрын
@@ianhoneycutt38582 handed 1000% generates more revs look at the top top numbers, not who’s the best 1 handers in general
@thecarrotsarecoming47114 ай бұрын
@@drwisdom1 I would say it's the exact opposite. If you watch PBA matches, there are PLENTY of one handers who reach the same power, speed, rev rates, and everything that two handers do. I would say the more beginner level you are the more advantages you get as a two hander and the more advanced you are the less advantages you get. Pretty much every pro throws the ball around 16 mph and up with 450-600 revs. It doesn't matter if they use one or two hands, they mostly all fit in that area.
@thecarrotsarecoming47114 ай бұрын
@@ianhoneycutt3858 Dont forget Sean Rash. In fact, the highest rev player in my area is a one hander who throws 600 revs at 19 miles an hour.

I’m dying to get the blackout as a compliment to my eternity pi. Do you recommend drilling the blackout to max hook potential, a little weaker, or somewhere in the middle ? For drilling I want it to just make the ball be the best it can be for what the ball offers, not really to target a specific shot or house. Let me know what you recommend please !!

During game 4, you went to that Journey. You tend to lean on the quick balls a lot i've noticed and not notice when you get trapped in the lanes not transitioned enough for those balls to be effective. It may be worth to work on seeing this and staying in more medium to medium quick balls. You lose the pocket going too quick too fast. Recognize the environment.

What does the +85 or under numbers based on? Plus/minus what?
@ForrestKritzer4 ай бұрын
Anything over a 200 is plus. Anything under 200 is minus. For example, if you bowl a 230, you are now +30. If you bowl a 190 next game, that is -10 so now your total score is +20. Hope that helps.

@dannewcomer73524 ай бұрын
Tournaments that are this high scoring are not even worth it these days. Because anyone can buy a new ball, toss it towards the gutter and average 240 now so it mostly comes down to more luck carrying the pocket over quality repetitive shot making on these conditions
