KJ has a - Forearm Tendon Inflammation (Injury). He said this in a personal interview Lithuania's reporter came down after USC game to interview him (in Lithuanian). He didn't have an opportunity to say it to local press, if anyone even asked him. From that interview all he is saying is 'I want to win the league'. He doesn't think or care one bit about the NBA drafts currently. So trust me he will come back and only grow from this time off, if he's even having any. He's probably training with his other arm 24/7. *Also this is why his hand looked swollen (not beat up). Because the tendon inserts to the wrist (hand), obstructing blood flow and causing local inflammation. Hence he couldn't play properly with inflated hand, he wouldn't have proper handle (regardless of pain).

I think Underwood is trying to make a point. Illinois should be able to win games even without one of their starters. It will hopefully show come March. There are gonna be hurt players across the board. Sometimes you need a loss like this at home. Go Illini!

The information was already presented. He injured his forearm during the Washington game and it keeps flaring up with inflammation.
