I laughed at Carl’s answer to influential thinkers. I read Augustine’s city of God this year and wasn’t impressed. Very Catholic and very allegorical. Im currently reading beyond good and evil by Nietzsche and finding him more plausible. I very much disagree with Carl’s pint of what helps us decided what we are to do in regards to something like a gay wedding. We don’t rationalise what makes someone more human, we ask what does God’s word clearly teach. If we don’t use the word as our primary source we elevate man above God

Critical theory is a positive development in Providential history. What the crits have most effectively deconstructed is Enlightenment liberalism, with human reason as the regulative principle in society. Without that we’re left with rampant cross-dressing, race riots and other chaos. Or we return to God.
