A lot of folks downplay the role of advlsors until being burnt by their own emotions. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for licensed advlsors and came across someone of utmost qualifications. She's helped grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $275k to $850k.

My advice to new investors: Buy good companies stocks and hold them as long as they are good companies. Just do this and ignore the forecasts and market views which are at best entertaining but completely useless. By doing this, I have managed to grow my portfolio to $500k.

Buy and Hold the magnificent companies DON'T LOOK AT IT DAILY, Hold 5-10 years. These companies, like mutual funds, are diversified and financially strong. Also, work with a fiduciary financial advisor. I've done this for 7 years and reached a million dollars in April.

yeah but i wonder, with inflation people aren't going to be throwing away their money on coke, mcdonalds and apple when they don't need to, and can get a windows pc for 1/5th(?) the price of a mac. or android phone for 1/5(?) the price of an apple. or drink water instead of coke, which is just sugared water at 10x the cost? or mcdonalds, you can also find other food sources for .... 1/5th the cost?

Paul. Take a good company and jump in and out, no? For example, I bought ABX/GOLD at $19 and sold over $26. Waited and bought again at $22. It pays a dividend and will be around forever. It’s an ATM. But you say this is wrong. I don’t understand. Anyway, great channel.

While I agree with letting winners run, I think there might be a point where you want to trim. I had a stock grow from being 10% of my portfolio to 60%. At some point, the concentration just seemed too high

Best to invest long term in market. Time in mkt beats timing the mkt...most of the time and is stronger as time goes on. Costs low..diversification high. But, indiv stock investing is fun AH and buy w a major M.O.S. based on solid FCF projections.

The following isn't advice, But a few years back, in my first stab at investing, I put a few hundred dollars, into the company that I Hated the most. My logic was that: if it goes down and I lose everything, at least I will be happy to see the company fail. I just checked and found that it went up over 500%. Bummer that I only put a few hundred dollars into it at the time.

I just started investing about a month ago and have watched a bazillion videos. The amount of fear mongering, momentum hype and technical analysis is obscene. I am stingy when it comes to liking and subscribing but this is the first channel that I have come across that is worthy of further scrutiny. 👍🏼👍🏼 I’m not going to lie. This year, for me, will be about the short play but as soon as rates are cut I will bow out and invest in the companies I am currently researching for the long term and buy them near the bottom of the downturn.

Everyone who has watched this channel has heard your MSFT story. Interesting that you say “If I knew MSFT was going to double its profit every year for the next ten years, I would buy every single share I could.” Yet, every time you mention NVDA, you advise to stay away. This sounds like the professor who asked his class “who would have fought against slavery in the 1800s?” Seeing that everyone raised their hands, he said “the statistics show this is obviously untrue.” I’m not suggesting that you buy NVDA today. What I am saying is when you see a company increase sales exponentially, you are not willing to take the chance out of fear that it will end too soon. It’s easy to say you would after the fact. Sometimes you need to take a chance. If you’re wrong, there is a sell button right next to the buy button!

Hey Captain Obvious. Of course everyone uses products from amazon, google, apple or microsoft. Doesn´t mean they are also good priced stocks with good returns. Everybody knows they are great companies. But they don´t have to be good investments. Smallcaps can bring way better returns, because nobody knows they are good businesses until they do.
