I think someone did the math somewhere I saw and it is actually around 20% larger than the dormant PokeBall state in the anime. Then again, the anime kind of changes the scale of it in its unenlarged state over time. At first they were teeny, now they're a bit heftier. Make of it what you will, I suppose.

The regular joy cons will give you carpal tunnel, because the analogue sticks are directly above and below the face buttons, instead of more inwards so your thumb can swoop down to them better. It's the same reason why the psp is so awful to hold, but the small psp go is much comfier.

Thanks for the tear down video. The bottom part of the ball is the rumble motor and speaker. Cheers! By rolling the pokeball plus, we can also know that the majority of the weight is at the bottom of the ball. :)
@TheMythey6 жыл бұрын
There IS a speaker in there! It makes sounds when you capture a Pokemon, and it plays the Pokemon's cry. Right before you receive Mew via Mystery Gift, it rumbles and you can hear the Mew's cry, it's such a nice touch! Also, like someone else commented, it plays the Pokemon Center jingle when you plug it in to charge. BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE! It ALSO doubles as a Pokemon GO plus accessory; it connects to your Pokemon GO app via your phone's Bluetooth connection, so there's that piece of tech in there too.

I enjoy playing with both joy-con and pokeball plus. Neither are really perfect. The motion controls can be a little wonky at times leading you to waste a few pokeballs. You use the button on top as a back (B) button and joystick as the select (A) button. You wiggle the controller in place of the Y button. The biggest issue I have with the pokeball plus is when I try to select something buy clicking on the analog, I sometimes accidentally press a direction at the same time. Definitely takes some getting used to but still pretty cool.

@b_silver19266 жыл бұрын
After playing quite a bit with the pokeball and the joycon, i can say this. The joycon has more buttons and makes it easier to navigate the menus and stuff. However, the poke ball feels so much better! It has much better rumble and just,feels really good in your hand. Its so satisfying feeling your pokemon get captured with each shake of the rumble. With the joycon the rumble is still there, but it just doesnt feel as good. So your preference depends on if you want better menu navigation or a better feeling controller

Which I found hilarious...don’t worry I love this controller and plan to play the entire game using it, or at least for most of the game. I did get it to connect to my phone as well (don’t save the device to your phone, causes connectivity issues within Pokémon GO, it worked right away for me after I removed it from remembered devices). Successfully caught a few Pokémon with the Poké Ball Plus. Haven’t tried it for spinning PokéStops yet though. Which says it will do automatically as long as there is a Pokémon inside.
