The title of this is just ridiculous. . ."hundreds of live gators". Who in the hell would want to go see hundreds of dead gators?

Use to go there every weekend had family who was there before it was a park. There were always a lot of gators then along with deer, armadillos, and racoon's. It is a beautiful place I miss being able to go there.

I think he did say 30’, And but the typing said 130’. That’s a bit of a difference... I don’t think they can read or write in Florida! The locals... Obviously not the gators... #BONGMOFO!

130-140 ft. deep. Most of Florida is populated by non native ppl. I am a native whom can both read and write. A good day to you and your opinions

Shannon Wessel I don’t think that river it’s 130 feet deep. I think the man was correct and whoever wrote that mistyped 30 for 130.

Yeah I could see going there with at least a .45 ACP + P or 10 MM. Is it possible Florida may have just a wee bit more alligators than they need? Adults and children being attacked and eaten... Along with countless pets? Maybe some thinning out might be in order with a regulated hunt. People argue we are encroaching on their habitat and they are right. Since when is a reptile worth more than a human being? Where I live, if hunting were not allowed, there would be more cougars and bears than people. If there is a FWC officer hiking with you who is armed, that might be a fun place to go..

It's grossly overpopulated and dangerous. People aren't safe with them looming nearby. Get rid of them. You can keep 3 of them in the whole state.

Great place for a man with a 22-250 rifle and pick off 50-75 of these things a day . I grew up in central FL in the late 50's through early 60's . We lived in a lake community and swam and water skied all over. NEVER saw a gator. But then the bleeding hearts started moving in. They felt the gators had more rights than people did so the gators took over. Now this is what you have.
