Whether it was as a Beatle or on his own, George Harrison was responsible for many of the most iconic songs of the late 20th century. Even though he never quite reached the same level of fame as his bandmates John Lennon and Paul McCartney, Harrison's voice and multi-instrumental talents earned him millions of lifelong fans around the world.
Tragically, Harrison passed away from lung cancer in 2001, leaving behind his wife Olivia, his son Dhani, and an estate worth nearly half a billion dollars. So where did all that cash end up? Here's who inherited George Harrison's money after he died.

What a clicheed 'analyses' .. they were ALL 'heart' - they were all 'mind' - they were all 'soul' of the band .. and Ringo was not just the 'drummer' .. He had a very unique drumming technique, due to the fact that he is left handed, playing a right handed kit. Besides, Ringo often had a calming input as he never argued about lyrics or chords or anything. He was forever patient and ready to be doing his beats .. the heart beats of the songs so to speak. ..

@@marksimons4108 Sure. "In an interview with his son, Dhani, the young Harrison spoke about his late father’s devotion to meditation and Buddhist practices that he began learning back in The Beatles’ days. Dhani reflects on how this may have helped his dad’s survival, albeit his struggles with lung cancer which proved too much for even a body as light as George’s. “He was very, very badly attacked, and by the time he died, he didn’t even have a single scar on him. He was like a yogi, he moved on from that, physically and mentally, and didn’t let it affect him. But it definitely took years off of his life, you know. "After he died" is redundant since all inheritances happen AFTER a person's death. The size of his estate was never made public but was publicly estimated to be anywhere from $250 to $400 million. Maybe George Harrison was the “Quiet Beatle” in the Early Beatles, but that wasn’t the case as the band matured, and Post-Beatles. Harrison’s most prolific and fruitful period as a songwriter was 1968-1969. He was never able to replicate the artistic and commercial success of the “All Things Must Pass” (Triple) Album when he had the freedom to create whatever he wanted, without any Beatle constraints. This notion that Harrison had an infinite stockpile of songs was always a nonsensical myth. Despite God-Like Hero Worshippers: George Harrison was an imperfect human being. The more we learn, the more we know. Sleep In Heavenly Peace, George Harrison.

10 albums of songs (counting out Electronic Sound and Wonderwall) plus the ones he participated in the Travelling Wilburys with, may not be infinite but it is surely a lot of songs.

@@theo9952 Focusing on George Harrison’s limited “body of work” while with The Beatles and his Solo Recordings. Harrison’s contributions to The Traveling Wilburys are collaborative, and again, another reliance on a supergroup, not Solo. Did You Know? George replaced The Bee Gees, when The Bee Gees weren’t available as first choice, for the “Wonderwall” Soundtrack. There were plenty of years when Harrison produced nothing at all, significant breaks in creative activity. The point is, George Harrison was never a prolific songwriter except 1968-1969, and was never able to replicate the artistic and commercial success of “All Things Must Pass.” Period.

@@vitalmarcoortizdecandia4484 I disagree. HE WAS a prolific songwriter starting from the last 2 years of the Beatles, to the end. Artistic and commercial success are 2 different matters and in any case his albums did sell and still sell. As for the long breaks, John took them too in his much shorter - alas - life. In short. And I insist that 10 plus lps (the first a double one - i don't count the jams) is a real lot of songs for a musician who died before he was even sixty.

As we all are Marco only through Jesus Christ can we be perfect in the eyes of the Father and I am glad that Georges friend F1 champion Emerson Fittipaldi visited George days before he died in Switzerland and said that George had accepted Jesus Christ as his saviour and played Christian songs on his eukelele Amen🔥👑🕊

The producers blithely state that most of Harrison's estate came from his post-Beatles work. That seems like a very dubious claim, and requires further proof.
