Apple didn't make this version of vision pro to be a financial success. Apple made the vision pro to be a devkit, to get the tech out into the hands of developers to start creating that ecosystem. Based on the number of pre-orders, their goal has been extremely successful. We are going to see apple shape this space in the apple way, this is going to be the premier way to experience augmented reality.

@@AakashMehta I don't think the product has no substance. I think people are going to use this first version of the product and enjoy it. I think that this experience is probably going to be more fleshed out than anything else out there right out of the gate. But this first version is going to go to largely to creators and developers who are going to create the ecosystem and get word out there that this is a good product. I just think Apple is willing to lose money on this product in preparation for their "Air" economy version, whatever they might call it and future versions of the pro. It will only get better with age

Totally agree.. this is a Gen 1 product that Apple is going to figure out the software and use cases with.. however, even for a Gen 1 product, they need to get developers and creators excited enough for the vision and possibilities.. with Netflix, KZbin, Spotify, and others not developing for the Vision Pro, Apple might be facing some developer roadblocks in the coming months

Pre-Mortems are a fascinating tool and I think people could mitigate a lot of risk by applying it to their own products! It’s absurd how people are getting so defensive about a product that they have no ownership over and it hasn’t even launched. Thank you for making this video, I learned a lot. As a longterm VR user (and not just gamer), I am not convinced the Vision Pro is all that visionary or all that pro. I would love to upgrade to a visionary prosumer headset that allows me to replace or significantly augment my PC or Mac. While I love the displays, the weight on this thing kills its appeal. I can’t imagine sitting in that thing for hours together. I will therefore soldier on with my trusty Quest headsets, using a combination of Immersed and Better Display to get plenty of work done on a giant widescreen-res monitor. If the Immersed Visor is faithful to its specs (whatever is known so far), I will buy that instead.

Honestly, I was skeptical about this video but after watching it, I realized I was 100% correct. Your Unlikely reasons are literally shoved there in the list. Your Probables are also more towards unlikely. For example, you really think FT will be buggy when Apple launches VisionPro? FT is a legacy app. Only a new interface is added to it. That just means a new UI. Backend is still the same which is the core of FT functionality. You haven’t thought this through as a case study. And I say this because you don’t understand the company Apple.
