I always pay my lawn people the day of. They came one day when I was out and when I got home my lawn was cut. I road around in the neighborhood until I found them and gave them their money. A service was rendered and I want to make sure I paid. Good lawn service is really hard to come by.

Thank you for helping me make that step. I just gave a month warning to a customer who was just too demanding, wanting everything for free and saying others are cheaper. Well, she can go find the cheaper guy. Last I was out she didn’t even come out of the house. It was fantastic!!! Oh, and she had already paid for the month so no issues there. Keep up the hard work!!

I'm in a suburb about 40 minutes north of Manhattan, NYC. I have about .33 of an acre and landscapers wanted to put me on a $260-$275 monthly service plan but I found one that was willing to charge me on a Per-Cut basis for $45/cut. It includes cutting, trimming and blowing. They show up with 3-4 guys and are done in less than 15 minutes. I pay him as soon as he's done on the spot. During the summer months if it doesn't rain the grass won't need cutting and sometimes cutting it during those times will cause the grass to burn. Im also good to them because every year i give them mulch work, river rock work, fall cleanup, spring cleanup.

Great job, perfectly done looks amazing. You wouldn’t have any problem getting customers because you do a perfect job you are a professional, it’s perfect in every way. They would have to be pleased because you do such a good job.

You need to actually cancel the radio. I do it every year and get a letter in the mail within a week asking me to come back for 24.99 for 12 months. Done that for 3 years now.

I started doing full time lawn care after doing it for years in the side, and i have to agree with you some customers i got to run down when in it come to payment. Some also don't understand i have to charge more for biweekly mowing because grass is thicker, also totally agree with the dog poop thing, nothing drives me more crazy especially after you've already brought the issue up to the customer 😊

Agree, I try not to accept clients with pets. Almost 0% pick up all the dog crap.. I have only maybe 5 clients with pets because they are a good clients neighbor or they got a dog after I began service. But seriously no one gets all the dog crap off the lawn

You r speaking facts. I’ve learned to deal with customers who care about their lawns. I use to cut any and every yard that needed to to be cut. No more. Very selective about choosing my customers. I do help those who need help though.

Good video Johnny 👍We charge the same monthly fee all year to our long term customers. We have learned that we need to hold some customers hands a bit more than others when it comes to paying us year around. Some of these clients like to cancel services in the fall because grass has slowed down and it's cool enough to mow there own grass 🤦 then they wanna call you in the spring again as soon as the winter weeds and leaves have taken over than lawn. They expect us to charge that same monthly rate that we charged them before 🤷 we charge these customers a cancelation fee because of this reason but some seem to not get it 🤔? Any way🤷 Merry Christmas and Happy new year

I never could come to an agreement with Sirius/XM for the radio in my truck and my wife’s car. They constantly called, bothering me at work mostly. Then when they offered a price I couldn’t refuse for both vehicles, they would not send me a bill so I could pay by check, they said they would only accept CC payment, so I refused. They continued to call, I’d refer them to their previous deal and tell them to send me a bill. They’d refuse. This went round and round for a while, then they finally gave up. I still get an occasional letter from them saying they want me back, but they won’t accept my payment method. I’m convinced it’s because they can’t raise my rate and charge my card without me knowing about it until after the fact, and that is precisely why I require an itemized bill and then I’ll send their check to them.

Hey just reading comments. I have the grips on my trimmers and they are a little bulky at first and slightly heavier but after using them for a while it’s something I couldn’t go without. The posture you mentioned helps me tremendously and being postured correctly dosen’t bother me that it’s slightly heavier. I never find myself hitting the darwinds grip on obstacles. Only downfall I can see is it makes the trimmer too heavy when you set it down on the ground at times.

Does the Ballard trimmer line hold up well for you. I ordered some .95 blue twist and it doesn’t seem to hold up very well while using it for edging. I’ve used echo black diamond in the past and that seems much better. What’s your opinion?
