You can trademark a phrase or a word and people can’t use it if exact phrase or word. If ginamit ni MD yung “Jeffree Star Approved” exactly, eh hindi naman. When that issue came up, andaming nag unsubscribe kay MD. I am one of her supporters and everyone in our office knows that. They were like “yung idol mo gaya gaya”, “cancelled na yung idol mo”, all that. Then since medyo bata bata pa din ako non, I wasn’t able to defend her. I did not say anything bad about her kasi di ko nga kilala si JS and di ko alam yung approved trademark nya. That time, to me they were like JS to MD na nabully. Parang na guilty lang ako na sana na defend ko sya. But one thing is for sure, di ako nag unsubscribe. Di ko hinate si MD because of that. Mabait sya, I witnessed how she helped her friends get into the yt world. She didn’t deserve all the hate she got.

She has haters or bashers already. That started when she and Llyod did a collab. And at one portion, some fans (not their fans) assumed they are referring to other beauty vlogger. And since then, Those haters gained ground. And like anyone else who are waiting for your downfall, those haters bait JS into creating a controversy and knowing JS, she saw the opportunity for clout. And with her power, she crucified a Filipino beauty vlogger. But surprisingly, some Pinoy fans feven those who really have no idea who JS is, sided with JSN At this point, if you’ll examine what transpired in the past , AND if u really know who JS is, Michelle Dy became a willing victim here. Here's my honest opinion about Jeffree Star and Michelle Dy's issue: Imitation or Inspiration? It looks like Michelle is a big fan of Jeffree, inaidolize niya siya to the point na she decided to have his so called "Trademark". Kung ako siguro si Jeffree i would be happy if someone did it, kasi it means there's someone out there na nainfluence ko, hindi ko na siguro iisipin yung "copyright" chuchu kasi kung famous ka and tinitingala ka talaga ng tao, gagayahin at gagayahin ka nila. You're their role model ika nga. Is it imitation or inspiration? I think both. Michelle was inspired by Jeffree's works so she decided to imitate it. This has the same vibes sa gown ni catriona, ang daming gumaya, pero wala tayo halos narinig sa kanya at sa designer, that's how real queen deal with issues.
