I first met Scott at the North South 100 in Florence KY, I think in '01. He was getting inducted into the hall of fame(I forget the details it's been a while). He didn't race that night. Didn't even bring the car. He just made his speech and then walked around shaking hands and talking to people all night. I always thought that was such a classy thing to do

I will always cherish the conversations that we had especially the first time I met Scott in 88 at Eldora he's a rookie and won the world 100. He definitely left a mark on dirt racing a racing genius on how the chassis works the rear end shocks etc what a guy RIP Bloomer the Goat Blackstone No Weak Links

What a privilege and opportunity for Nick Hoffman to get under Scott’s wing and drive his car . Learn Scott’s strategy of racing with in-depth measures of making it tight and right . Thank you Kenny Wallace for sharing this video as we learn more my favorite legendary dirt driver . I haven’t drank in years - with that being said after Scott’s passing I took 18 shots of Apple 🍎 Crown 👑 Royal as tribute to Scott . Did I feel rough next day ? Oh yeah Would I do it all over again ? Yes Sir . Love your videos Kenny . Thank you Nick Hoffman for sharing your experiences with Scott and on the track . Be like Scott pass it on . A Lot drivers doesn’t do that . 🐐☠️# 18 Fan for life for ever 🏁 Hope you interview more Kenny with Scott Bloomquist stories . Hell why not . Hope Big E ( Eldora ) has new drink on menu Scott Bloomquist Crown 👑

A lot of those tire tricks were taught to him early on by a man named Jimmy “Pup” Thomas who we also lost recently. Rip to them both.

I relate Pup to Sonny Vaccaro who brought MJ to Nike. Scott Bloomquist was to Hoosier Tire what Michael Jordan was to Nike shoes.

You can't hardly say that about Scott , nobody on here may know what his thoughts were , in between his pain issues, and I believe finances were not where he was use to having, and it could be maybe more stress and depression issues at home ... I'm just saying if it turns out to be suicide, it wouldn't say anything about his great career and knowledge of dirt racing . We may never know , to be honest .

David , they have rules in dirt racing , some series are pretty strict on certain things too .... When you're in dirt , they allow a little more in the grey area , that's where the smart guys are usually the best , and the guy who never says the car is ok ( always ways to improve )

@@Davidjohnson-zd3bk you can make really good money in dirt racing , you have to travel several states and have good people helping you . Look back at some pics of Bloomer at Eldora , he won 100,000 I believe at the dream , several 50,000 checks , and with his sponsor money ( back in the day , not so much now ) he could do very well for himself. It's not NASCAR pay by any means , but just look at the top drivers in dirt now , Johnathan Davenport , Hudson O' Neal , Ricky Thornton , all these drivers are making a great living doing what they love .
