Pare, I've owned the Kicks since launch and must say yours has the best review of any local content creator because it ticks all the boxes on what I love and have issues with the Kicks after nearly 600 days and just 15000 Km. A true city driver built for Metro Manila crap traffic.

For those who have bought a HEV, were you told or is it on the manual on how long the battery's lifespan is and how much is the replacement? Based on my research, it is around 160k-250k kilometers before it needs to be replaced. Replacement cost is around 100k pesos.
@lostwanderingdrifter Жыл бұрын
This thecquestion I needed answered but nobody seems to talk about. Thank you for enlightening us.
@bernscjavier Жыл бұрын
According to nissan salesman, battery lifespan is around 8-10 years and replacement costs around 300k.

I agree. The only problem is the lack of spare tire and the slightly cramped interior space.

Thanks for sharing. But you haven't mentioned that the Nissan Kicks' 3-cylinder engine cause more vibrations/noise than the usual 4-cylinder engines which is more noticeable during idling - at least that's what I heard from other reviewers. Would have been interesting if you have any comment on this.
@ReygansRides2 жыл бұрын
The gasoline generator has the vibration and noise associated with 3-cylinders, but after a while, you get used to it. But the Kicks generator does not idle, the gasoline motor shuts down when you are idling.

The initial investment is quite steep. For transport biz much cheaper cars w/ decent FE is preferred. You are against time kasi the faster the ROI the better since bumababa ang Value ng car mo. Also maybe in the future your car maybe opt out of the system coz its too old

if i have a nissan kicks i will get a spare donut tire. given the road conditons here having a damaged tire on the road is always possible. last month a got one at edsa at that serivice road ortigas by the time i passed crossing it was flat.luckily i was the gas station where i asked for assistance. my car is a toyota rush and has a normal spare tire. my rear left tire was hit by a 4inch 8mm rebar so it went flat pretty fast.

Hi, I have not tried any electric cars yet. But we all know that in a standard car (with an internal combustion engine), when you are cruising and you release the pressure on the gas pedal, the car would be "free-wheeling" and there's no braking that would happen. If the Kicks is set in regenerative braking, you get that sort of braking feel the moment you release the pressure on the gas pedal. So in that sense, there's that constant deceleration, right? In my ignorance, I would tend to think that it might be a bit annoying, especially on the part of your passengers (let's say they're asleep while you're on a long drive and there's that constant braking pressure every now and then)? Kindly describe this particular aspect of driving on the Kicks. Thank you.

This is good but I prefer a hybrid vehicle that have both gasoline and electric motor connected to the powertrain, because if one breaks or troubled, you still can go home.
@krishjasonramos16172 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, it doesnt work thhat way. Even with conventional hybrids, if one fails, the car no longer functions.

I believe the Honda CR-Z does that. Unfortunately, it's already discontinued. Drove one which my sister owns, fun to drive. The caveat is it's not a family car. Since the interior space is too small.
