ngl, THE IPS LCD on PAd 6 is much bbetter than my standard cheap acer and Asus x441MA laptop's LCD. But the downside of using LCD is, not really good if using 3rd party stylus for drawing. very very recomended to buy the official pen.

I have this tablet. I love it, it is excellent for education, websurfing, taking notes and watching videos on netflix/youtube. However it has one big issue. You can easely use tablet for taking handwritten notes BUT when you want to sync your notes with Xiaomi Cloud there is a problem. Handwritten notes are not supported for some reason, so you cannot view them on your PC, or your laptop and you dont have actually backup of them. This is something nobody talks about.

The not-backwards compatiblity with the previous pen, is NOT a downside. That pen was bad. Almost everyone who uses a pen on a pad, is for drawing and for that it wasn't just not so good, it was flat out bad. Xiaomi acknowledge this and just ditch the old and came with a new good one. This is good work from Xiaomi. A new pad shouldn't be bothered with backward compatibilty for a bad product.

Xiaomi pad 6 has sd870 which is more than 2yrs old. Now older chips might not support newer Androids. Also Xiaomi never promised any software update particularly for pad 6. So no guarantee on os update side.

The regular pad 6 has old chip. The pro version has snapdragon 8+ gen 1,which is still good and closer to the new gen 2 performance. And they have said they will give upto 3yrs support for updates (but that was announced in China).

My PAD6 just arrived, but it didn't come with a pen. New delivery date 2024(!). This can not be true. Cheapest offer from 98 euros, but also without an appointment.
