CORRECTION In this video, I mentioned. that safety issues "are likely to be minimal because of the micro-dosing," "that's a limited exposure.” Thanks to a fellow psychiatrist who pointed out: - "this statement is predicated on the definition of micro-dosing being 1-2 treatments, which is incorrect. In fact, micro-dosing may increase risk for harm as repeated exposure may (needs more research) cause prolonged/repeated activation of the 5HT-2B receptor, which is implicated in cardiac valve disease (see, Fen-Phen). Micro-dosing is sub-perceptual; studies that have shown benefit for depression rely heavily on the subjects' experiences, which by definition have to be brought on by a macro-dose (higher dose). You are absolutely correct in that the studies are limited to 1-2 sessions, but the doses themselves are very much so macro, not micro-doses during those sessions.”

Hello Dr. Tracey. Is isocybin, the same or similar to psilocybin? I ask this because a company online sells it. It's not injectable but drinkable. I suffer with severe anxiety and depression and will be going on meds soon. But would much rather have mushroom therapy and be cured. Where can I get the mushrooms you speak of, and are they edible, drinkable, or injectable?

Antidepressant treatment can disconnect you from your pain, whereas psychedelics can connect you to the sources of them. With the right conditions, knowledge, integration, and guidance, psychedelics can allow you to heal yourself. I wouldn’t be here without antidepressants, but I wouldn’t be *happy* to be here without my experiences with psychedelics.

@@georginarandolphgirl66 I actually didn’t go off antidepressants before taking mushrooms. I had a full blown trip actually, and i haven’t microdosed for a while until after going off my antidepressants (some people microdose whilst weaning off their antidepressants, apparently it helps). After the trip, i decided what was best for me was to get off my antidepressants, and slowly weaned off them. This wasn’t too challenging in my case, though it may vary for others depending on the case. I am now off antidepressants for nearly 3 years now and don’t see myself ever going back.

And so i want to get information from people who have tried it by themselves. Is there any difference between lsd and shrooms? What do you think about it? I think that strategy of smoothly and slowly raising up dose from micro to 2*micro to 4*micro etc, will be the most safety strategy to try it. Do you have any thoughts about it? Thanks!

Listening to my favorite music felt like heaven on earth and when my conscience reattached to my body I had so many epiphanies, it felt like I read a thousand books…. Psilocybin was made illegal with the same law as LSD because of it's similarity. This was by the same lawmakers who took us to Vietnam. Tim Leary was supposed to use his supply of LSD for research but instead he basically just gave it irresponsibly to everyone and this along with it's popularity in the hippie movement prompted the lawmakers to ban LSD and other drugs like it. Somehow morning glories didn't get mixed into the law despite being of the same category and having some physical detriments, unlike psilocybin which is physically harmless, probably just from them being overlooked or lack of knowledge of it's similarity.

@@Maria-rx6ik my very first trip was 1.5 but you have to understand that its about the intention you put in if you really know you need to change you wil need to open up fully to wherever the trip takes you and know that it wont always be very comfortable its such a significant experience you have to be able to step out of your comfort zone and absorb everything that the experience seeks to teach you let it guide you completely. Ths setting amd mindset are important so maks sure you plan ahead and get your physical surroundings to be nice and safe so that you run no risk of altering your experience in any negative way. If you take ssri "medication" it can and will nullify the effects of psilocin if you feel that you gained from such an experience and wnt to learn more give yourself a good amount of time between your trips like upward of 2 to 4 weeks and if you'd like up the dose by a half gram every other trip . You can also microdose witch can be done on a daily basis and is a dose small enough to have the neurological and psychological benefits without the psychedelic experience. I did psylocibin ONE TIME ONLY in 1998 and I'll never, ever forget the experience. The experience honestly changed my life. At first I couldn't stop talking about politics and philosophy. I remember talking about Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky non-stop ( this was in 1998 ). Then I just opened up about our place in the universe and why we're here. ( Does God exist, etc. ). Then the opposite kicked in. I became terrified and started crying. All of my pent up emotions were released and it felt so good. Everything just CAME OUT. The next day was the first day of my new life. Because that experience was so profound I never used mushrooms again after that but I've always wondered what would happen a second time.

Tracey, your approach to mental health education is so wonderful and rare in its scientific, open-minded & interdisciplinary nature. I love the way you communicate things so clearly in layman's terms without ever really needing to dumb things down, that you stick to the fact and touch on the studies. I have found that very few mental health professionals consider things like nutrition and politics before rushing to prescribe the first-line of defence drugs, and too few are really thinking outside the box and looking at novel ways to improve mental healthcare. Here especially you reference not one but two controversial topics, authoritarianism and its relationship with mental health, and restricted hallucinogenic drugs having potential therapeutic benefits. Really glad I found this channel and rock on, is all I have to say.

I was able to overcome my depression with the help of psybicilin but I was not prepared to experience the emotions that I had been suppressing for years. It was both wonderful and horrible. However after some more frequent therapy and a second dose, I felt very resilient to my depression and developed good coping and processing skills for my emotions. what a fucked up logic. people don't prefer synthetic. they prefer effect. go ahead find some plants that work better and claim your fame. you do understand that just because something is growing in nature it doesn't mean its either safe or effective. a lot, if not most things growing in nature are poison as fuck to humans, right? as in organ failure and death. but good luck with your career as an alchemical herbalist or whatever imaginary title you come up with. you could have been a scientist, but you chose to have your opinion be nothing but an opinion and not matter like the rest of the tinfoil hatters in here. its true that most drugs aren't as good or effective as wed like to and that a lot comes with bad side effects and even kill a lot of people every year, but we take them because we don't have any alternatives, and when you or one of your loved ones is dying from something horrible and your entire existence is pain, you're going to thank the people that made synthetic morphine like they were the imaginary gods of the past. we as a race have had more than a 100k years without chemistry. do think it was better before when all you had was some herbs and prayers when you lost a hand or had a brain tumor? people used to die from all kind of banalities that we can easily cure today thanks to chemistry and science. not to some fuckin tea brewers.

Entheogenic plants and fungi have been used therapeutically for probably thousands of years by shamanic type practitioners in indigenous societies. My first depressive episode was at age 10. It remained episodic until I took a heroic dose of psilocybin in my early 50's. I'm 64 now and it has not returned. I know there is lots of good coming from micro-dosing of various substances, but it was the big dose that helped me the most. Full disclosure; in my 20s I also had a substantial size dose of psilocybin and enjoyed a period of several years without depression. I thought I was just happy and lucky, but now looking back, I'm sure it was the "shrooms." Blessings and Peace! I'm also a provider of mental health treatment with 24 years experience. Cheers!

I was given psilocybin chocolate at a beach party a few months ago. I took it for fun. It delivered. I definitely had a spiritual experience even in that setting with loud music and large crowds. I definitely “learned” things that I would have never figured out from age an experience alone. What I didn’t expect was that once it wore off, I would continue life as a completely different person, with a completely different outlook. In the months since, I am no longer uptight, I am no longer worried, I am no longer phased by a majority of the things that used to bother me. I am happy. I am hopeful. I am content. And when I say happy, it’s hard to explain. I could have a shitty ass day, and just start laughing about how grateful I am to be me. I feel like someone took my brain, untangled it, washed all the dirt out of it, put some birthday cake sprinkles in it, and put it back. I’m still me, but the version I’ve always wanted to be, and never thought it could be possible. I keep wondering how did this happen? And then I remember videos like this and others where they explain that’s literally what happens!! One more thing, when looking at pictures, my smile post-psilocybin is completely different. It radiates like there is a sun inside my face. It never did that before.

This is all exactly how I feel on my ADHD meds (I am inattentive, apathetic, and sensory seeking; many people thought it was depression but I responded clear as day to stimulants). I feel present, relaxed, at peace, at one, part of something bigger, less pressure to perform, notice things, and enjoy meditating. Also have much better self esteem. When the meds wear off, a lot of that well-being wears off, or is harder to maintain through CBT. I used to feel guilty about my meds (that I'm an "addict," can "control it myself," or am not "severe") until I heard podcasts on Psilocybin, and think that my meds are simply mirroring what nature could have provided me.

I am 100% for the right to use psilocybin. I have been using it to help with my depression and spiritual journey. But I caution, It is not for everyone. At moderate to high doses it can be an absolutely existentially jarring experience. You have to be prepared to face death, because it gives you the experience of dying. I thought I was ready for it but when I took my first heroic dose I ended up having a horrifying experience. One that I think i ultimately benefited from mostly. It showed me (I have suicidal depression) how much i want life. In my darkest moments when I feel a strong urge to end it, I can recall just recently, staring death in the face, and it helps me remember that even though I dont feel it right now, there is a big part of me that wants to live. I am just blinded to it right now, because of the depression. But I also, now get triggered into feeling the sensation of my consciousness slipping away from my physical self in flashbacks, that can be triggered by any number of things. I can just be feeling a little bit off, too sleepy, perhaps, or I might have an anxiety attack and if it feels remotely similar to the sensations from the mushroom trip, my brain amplifies it and it can take me back to the terror and make the anxiety way worse. So tread lightly. Do your research. Listen to people giving their experience reports. Listen to the good experiences and bad experiences, and if you decide to go ahead, dont jump in with a high dose. Start low and slow and always be sure to have a supportive person nearby who will leave you alone when you need them to, but also be there with a gentle energy when you need them to. Mushrooms are not toxic, but they are truly intense. They will kick you in the butt if you dont respect them.

Last weekend I took 5g for the first time and smoked a hash joint at my peak and boyyyy was that a mistake. I've tripped on lower doses multiple times and took every precaution to make sure I was safe and weed always made my trips even better. But I took it too far last time and finally experienced something other than the usual breathing and objects moving in geometric patterns and feeling euphoric and beautiful. I didn't have ego death but I definitely felt like I was dying and had insane visuals like what you see in trip simulations. I had prepared for this moment for so long and when I finally got there, I was begging my trip sitter to end it. I was hoping to have some sort of epiphany about life but instead I learned that I wasn't able to handle mixing high doses of shrooms and cannabis. Maybe the near death experience would've felt more worth it if my ego had died. But if ego death is anything like what I went through then maybe I'm actually not ready for the full experience.

@@lolno98 it sounds like you were on the edge and probably having an anxiety attack in the process which probably blocked you from fully ego death. Next time I would definitely leave the weed aside if you're going to take a high dose. Make sure that you were feeling physically well and mentally well and have a good sitter. Don’t get me wrong, I still struggle with the depression. But-but! I can function now, and I’m no longer angry at the world. Sooooo many doors open for you when you don’t filter every single interaction as though the other person is actively attacking or wanting to attack you. That the only difference is how sneaky they are being about it. I literally came to several obvious-in-hind-site realizations: the only reason anyone would be out to get me was if it were personal to them, and that it rarely was personal for them. I started training myself to just let stuff ride, then I noticed the opportunities... and then I finally found some inner peace for the first time ever.

I had no therapy/medication for the first 5 years. I got into therapy, and then It took 4 years of trying different antidepressants and medication additions to find what works the best (ended up being fluoxetine), but even still I have episodes (they're just less frequent). I took psilocybin one time, and it was genuinely the only time since I developed depression whenI did not feel sad. I microdosed mushrooms twice a couple of weeks ago in desperation and this morning I woke up feeling content and looking forward to my day. It's been decades since I've felt this way. No mania, I just feel like what I imagined 'normal' people feel. I've even started to clean my pigsty of a home that I wasn't able to muster enough energy until now. Thank you for this video :)

I experiemented by taking a tiny dose of LSD, which i believe LSD works similarity to mushrooms(im not brave enough to take a lot of it) For a week after using the mini dose, i slept well every night, barely had social anxiety, and interestingly, it reduced my addictive behavior (at the time i just was addicted to caffeine and i started reducing how much i drank of it and had less cravings) Not saying everyone should do psychedelics but it has an interesting effect of almost resetting my brain.. i had a similar experience with MDMA. After using MDMA for about a week i was more social and cared more about spending time with my family, and i was just a nicer, more open person. These effects didn't last more then a week though, but i find it interesting. Also, thanks tracy for accepting unconventional methods of treatment. Every form of treatment should be explored, and none should be taboo, especially psychedelics because they are completely non addictive and from all of my research psychedelics are not neurotoxic whereas an every day drug like alcohol, is neurotoxic and addictive

I've tried it a couple of times, definitely makes you feel really good, almost hard to articulate, i mean the after effects. You just feel a lift, fresh, its all good, you go out for a walk, you get a coffee, some bread, sunny day, birds are singing, you just notice a really good feeling in you. That said though, it wont magically make your life better, your next door neighbours with the loud dog, will continue to dump the dog outside and ignore its feelings, and yours. So do yourself a favour, get the fuck away from those people. Look, the mushrooms, at a controlled dose, in the right place, at the right time, will lift your mood, make you really feel the beauty around you, no doubt, but you still have to distance yourself from toxic energy, the slamming doors and the barking dog. You're fine, its the people in your life that need mushrooms.

You know, sometimes things are not what they seem to be. I had my very healing psychedelic experience years ago, and integration still happens, and I'm super sensitive (always have been) to any outer stimulation, like loud noises for instance. And I also share space with a dog now, because someone left on the street a puppy back in winter. I didn't plan to have a dog at all, already share space with two cats, one of them also was found on the street, but couldn't pass by. Not only being left alone itself was traumatizing for her, It seems like she comes from a guard breed, because she barks every time she hears someone opens the door or comes too close. She is not aggressive, but sometimes, especially when she is scared or doesn't like someone, she may look aggressive to some. But people who love animals usually are accepted by her. So my point is this: in the given context of your comment, I am that neighbor who "needs mushrooms". But I took them mindfully and expanded even more, and my dog barks not because she is not taken care of, and she lives in the house and sleeps on the bed 🐶, but because of all described above. So sometimes what you see is not what it is. Also, I feel like humans can learn a lot from animals, because animals are not going to tolerate those they didn't like, they protect their boundaries and they respond to love easily.

I am hoping you can maybe answer my question. I am a 55yo female and I have had depression since my teens. I have been on so many antidepressants, they do not work anymore. I have become Treatment Resistant. 3 years ago I researched ECT(Electroconvulsive Therapy) or “shock therapy”. It is demonized by ridiculous movies. It is an outpatient procedure with general anesthesia. The procedure is done by your psychiatrist, anesthesiologist snd wonderful nurses. My husband takes me, waits with me and we go to breakfast afterwards. I feel so awful for how people see ECT. It has helped me tremendously. I tell lots of people now and it has really helped me to be vocal about it. Anyways, I have tried Psilocybin several times. It did absolutely nothing for me. I felt nothing, no good feelings I mean. I just got super nauseated and almost puked. Do you think I got bad mushrooms? Just wondering if you know anything about them. Are some better than others? Thank you for any reply. Aloha, love and peace peace from Hawaii. ❤️❤️❤️

@@MrSprite2005 sorry, I guess you asked not me directly, but I got notified about your comment. So I just would like to share my perspective on depression, or any other state that is labeled as "negative". If it resonates with you, great, if not, just leave it all and follow your heart. Everything has a reason, so any state, whether it's anger, hatred, jealousy, suicidal thoughts or depression are messangers that tell us very important things about us. For example, hatred says we've been supressing our anger for years, and anger says we've been unable to protect our personal boundaries etc. Depression usually tells about dead circle in our head, where we just follow the same thought patterns, have the same bodily reactions, and see no way out. It also says we are not present in our bodies, more so in our heads. If you look at any state of yours as at friend, you become more in tune with your true self. Probably it's not a good idea to label therapy that you mentioned as "bad", but to label depression or suicidal thoughts so is neither. And anything can be a great tool for healing, mushrooms included, but for such an intense therapy you need to be in contact with your emotions, your body and your mind already + have a clear intention of what you want before taking any psychedelics, and which is more important - take responsibility for your state. Some people think some sort of magic will happen and they get rid off their "problems" easily, after taking one dose. It's different, and magic is in how it all works. If you're ready to expand, you'll get what you're ready for. If you're not ready, nothing will happen. I talked to some people about their experiences, all they said "we were hallucinating". I was amazed at how a potentially healing process can be just a vision if a person is not ready to shift. These people in their casual life are very boxecised with their belief systems. So if you're ready to get out of the way you perceived yourself, world and your body, mind, emotions, the change will start for you even before you take anything. Your intention is what true power is; all the rest is just helping you once your intention is set. To take responsibility means to stop demonizing depression or any other state or thing that happen in your physical, emotional or mental body, and to start looking at it as your best friend. That shift itself will bring many changes. And if psychedelics is your tool, they will find you in the right moment. It's about trust - yourself, your life and well-being that all of your cells consist of. I wish you inner peace, mindful joy and healing aka being whole again. 🌏☀🪐

I suffered my entire life from cptsd and trauma and had no social skills what so ever, I was so shy and traumatised I did not dare to exist in front of other people only my closest friend(s). Mushrooms changed my life. I felt life coming back to me and everything suddenly just worked inside my body, my heart opened and I loved myself and everything around me so much. Talking to other people couldn’t be more effortless today and life is truly beautiful. The most beautiful experience however was that my phobia for dogs totally reversed and I went from getting panicked every time I saw a dog to now living with my 2 dog best friends whom I love over anything else, I want to cry when I think about it, for me it’s pure magic and I’m eternally grateful for this experience. 💖 I did not get out of my bed for years always binge eating and had a miserable lifestyle. SSRI broke my brain, mushrooms gave me only love. I’m a person again thanks to this nature wonder 🍄🦋 big doses can be a bit uncomfortable thought so stay safe, if you are tripping you are not microdosing!

I didnt microdose at first but after having a terrible trip I slowed it down. So it's hard for me to say when the effects was starting to show, it's very individual depending on the shroom, the amount you consume and your personal conditions. I don't think it matters on the therapeutical effect if you take a larger dose at once or if you microdose(do it properly and add other supportive mushrooms as lion's mane etc, do your research) the difference is if you take a larger dose you will have a trip and if you are prone to psychosises or are just sensitive in general it can be quite tough on your psyche so I wouldn't reccomend anyone to do that at all. Have patience and let it take it's time it's worth it. A bad trip can fck you up for a long time

For me yes. I still get anxious sometimes but it's no longer cronical. Please be aware that when you consume psychedelics, especially if you are not experienced with them, it can cause temporary anxiety and/or panic while under the influence. That's why its important to not over consume it. Even if you are just doing small doses it can be good to have a sober and supportive friend near by, especially if you tend to get anxious, just in case

Actually microdosing has completely taken care of my life long seasonal depression I microdose a few times when the rain and darkness begin and I am good for months. There's definitely a difference between microdosing for depression and tripping therapeutically to address something like an addiction or PTSD, but for me it is literally a miracle. I don't have to even use the SAD light that I've used daily during the PNW rainy season since 2010. I am now dealing with depression from a life changing chronic illness and it's even helped there. While I am definitely a proponent of getting a good mental health therapist and doing further work, just microdosing a few times was enough to blast it away for me. Other people may have different experiences, but as someone who has the rare 1% serious reactions to most prescriptions I've taken (I'm talking ER visits & life and death) this has been truly life changing. I live in Oregon, where drugs have been decriminalized. This gave me the courage to try it out even though it's technically still Schedule 1 and illegal. I'll never look back. We've basically been lied to for decades, because Nixon was a nasty, petty coward. As a GenXer I wish I had my Just Say No t-shirt from middle school so I could burn it!!

The mental fogginess has cleared up but not completely gone. None of this is possible during my manic episodes. trahouston I personally feel MORE clear headed after an LSD trip but realize that may be a lot for some people. 12 hrs is a definite commitment for an LSD trip, so I've preferred mushroom trips the last few years. I do them once or twice a year and have noticed a significant difference in my baseline emotions. Not closed off to LSD but find that mushrooms are a bit gentler. It's a good way to relax and just laugh! That sometimes makes the biggest difference when dealing with my depression. Both help me feel very grounded afterwards though 😀

Honestly it probably wouldn't hurt to try, lol. Low doses of mushrooms literally altered my entire negetive perception of my life at one point last year and brought me out of a deep dark hole I had dug for myself. As soon as I started taking micro-dose amounts daily, a hand reached into the hole and pulled me out. And when I stood up out of the hole, I realized I was holding my own hand.

I also want to note that I've never actually taken a large enough amount mushrooms to experience any psychedelic effects. I'm a very sensitive and emotional person and have always had major over-looming anxieties when it comes to losing too much control of my thought pathways. I worry that losing that much control will lead me too far into my fears and trauma. And somehow delving deeper into trauma can be more terrifying than death itself. But yeah, there was something about microdosing that didn't scare me. I went into it almost completely certain that there was no other way but UP at that point. I had been suicidal for a over month and ending my life was a constant thought I was battling with in every waking moment. The fact that I suddenly and finally became so willing to actually try something to help myself was the first step to pull myself out of that dark space, and eventually elevate my perspective back into lighter and brighter environment for my thoughts to live in. Honestly I'm starting to dig that hole again though. A few weeks ago I got out my shovel and started prodding at the hole that the mushrooms had helped me bury up. They also helped me plant beautiful seeds on top of the soil-filled hole that let me see a lot of negetive memories, instead, as ones that allowed me to grow as a person. But I couldn't see the beauty anymore. Everything looked like a weed. I started ripping away at some of the plants that had grown abd settled in and I couldn't stop it. The hole is becoming more and more hollow as the days pass. Because of this I know it's about time to reconnect with my fungi friends again, and at this point, if they can once again help me fill back in my hole, I might ask them to plant themselves on top of the soil along side the positivity seeds, so I can always have their support and reassurance that life is beautiful and worth living. (Aka, attempting to grow my own mushrooms might be in my self-care plans in the coming months if someone didn't get my creative writing metaphor. Lol) 🍀🌱🌹✨🍄✨🌹🌿🍀

Drug laws have always been about social control. Opium was first outlawed to control Chinese immigrants. Cannabis was outlawed to control Mexicans. LSD and mushrooms were outlawed to control the political movements with which they were entwined at the time. Today's drug policy is mostly about mitigating black political power. The ruling class is actually very much in favor of drugs, which is why it has managed the opium market for over a century. Nixon's War on Drugs aimed at removing his gangster pals' rivals in the heroin trade. In the 80s, when Nancy Reagan was telling kids to Say No To Drugs, her husband's CIA was wholesaling cheap cocaine in US cities, birthing the crack epidemic. Undoubtedly the War in Afghanistan is at least in part about control of that region's opium production. 'The Drug War is a failure' is a very commonplace sentiment, but it's based on an error as to what the Drug War is for. The Drug War is, in fact, wildly successful. If it weren't, it wouldn't still be a thing.

Sometimes you take them and nothing much happens, but sometimes you see angles and understand the society of ants and stuff like that :D Also as i found out they don't last forever dry, year at max i'd say, better to dry them and store them in a freezer.

It gave me new clarity and focus in my life, it opened my mind in new ways, actually helped me make good decisions , I was able to see all the options in my life in a new way. It was a spiritual experience for me, definitely a positive, I didn't use too much so I think wasn't overwhelmed which can be a bad trip, so good to try a little to see how they work, but enough that I benefited from them and it was a positive life changing experience.

Mushrooms have helped me massively in my life, since I started using them 6 months ago. I have done this at home, mostly alone, but with a decade of fascination and research behind me, so I wouldn't recommend doing this unless you're also fascinated, basically sane, and well researched. I do not think a clinical setting is necessarily the best setting for everyone, although I completely sympathise with running to that as the obvious strategy for harm reduction. The issue with clinical settings is mainly just that most clinicians will not have had the psilocybin experience for themselves, and so, no matter how much they read, see, hear and research, there are ineffable aspects that can only really be talked around, but never properly conveyed in our languages, and you just can't quite relate if you haven't been there. Personally, my opinion is that it's best to have a guide who has. Perhaps even a guide who is on a lower dose, so that they can relate better to the patient, and as such be better equipped to help them through challenging trips. For this, I feel a ceremonial/sacramental setting would be more apt for many. High dose psilocybin is well known for being a profound, religious level experience... I'd rather have a mushroom shaman or good hippies looking after me, than a clinician who has no more conception of what I'm experiencing than a person blind from birth has of vision. Not to say clinical settings shouldn't be a thing - it'd be down to an individual's preference. I'm sure hard secularists, for example, would prefer that. But having other, less sterile options available would be super beneficial. Full on legalisation may even go well, provided a shitload of education and emphasis on things like "Do your research - LOTS of it," and "This is not a toy, for the love of god please don't just take it for fun. You have other drugs for that." Buuut that's a risky challenge that will inevitably involve some poor lost souls taking shrooms to get high, having nightmare trips that they don't know how to deal with, and bringing harm or death to themselves or others. That stuff does happen, so it's a risk with straight legalisation, but also... Quite a slim margin. These cases are rare, and super preventable with education. We kind of need to gradually build and instill a psychedelic culture that's more thoughtful and considered than the hippie movement, which is now happening (yay), but that needs to grow ahead of the legal status. Such that, by the time it is legalised, it's pretty much already common knowledge, to anyone who's even heard of psychedelics, that they're not something to dick around with. Respect them, know your shit, do your homework, yadda yadda. That basic stuff needs to be strong in zeitgeist before it can be satisfyingly safe to legalise it. But that's just, like, my opinion, man.

Really shrooms can be just as dangerous as alcohol so the same precautions should be taken because the visuals and feelings can be unpredictable for sure! I don't don't how they can police psychedelic abuse so it's great that it's coming out from the medical community for healing instead of being marketed next to cannabis in weed stores. Mushrooms need to get the respect they deserve!
