@@BeTheBossOfYourMotorcycle I’ve watched a few of your videos over the past couple of years and I have wondered and continue to wonder what you’re talking about when you say, “Load it up, Keep it loaded”? I’m just a dumb redneck that either overthinks stuff or just don’t think, so help a guy out here.

As they say, "there are two types of riders: those who have been down and those who are going down." You never know if/when you might go down, so the key is to do everything you can to minimize your risk. Proper equipment on your bike, and riding gear clothes, as well as constantly being vigilant and assessing each risk scenario can help minimize risk and consequences.

A couple of months ago we had a Sgt on my dept who was going through motor basic school and he put his foot down when the bike dropped. He ended up tearing tendons in his ankle and breaking his leg as it was dragged under the saddlebag guard and saddle bag. He is going to require surgery to repair the damage and likely be out for a year. At my agency, if you cannot return to full duty within a year, you're out, mandatorily medically retired unless they can find a civilian position you are qualified for. This video definitely shows the importance of keeping your foot on the boards, if you get injured, it may affect more than just your ankle, it may affect your employment, family, and other things.

This video is EXCELLENT!!!! This illustrates safety of footboards and my wife truly appreciated it as well.

The very first accessory I ever buy when I get a new bike is engine/frame guards and saddlebag guards. It not only protects my bike from getting damaged but it protects me from getting hurt from a tip over when I’m practicing

Thanks again for a great teaching moment. I ride a 2005 Goldwing and only have pegs. But I believe the drop protection from the factory on my year will protect my foot as well.
If you look closely at the slow motion, it seems like you continued to apply the rear brakes. That's mental toughness on another level. I'm not there yet. I'm guilty of putting my foot down during an oh ish moments. Practice, practice, practice. I've got to trust and believe consistently. Thank you.
Hi Mr. Simmons, glad you are okay, thank you for sharing about the engine guards, 2 years ago I purchased the one you recommended, dropped my RoadGlide 3 times and Me & my Harley we’re safe, you always inspire me to be the Boss❤🙏🏽Be Blessed 🙏🏽always 🤙🏽Aloha, Kenneth 🤙🏽

Question Rob. I have a 2021 street glide special with the harley flatout bars/engine guard. I am looking for foot pegs that would mount at the end of the flatout bars to make the flatout bars just a little bit longer. Any ideas or where to look? Thanks.
@BeTheBossOfYourMotorcycleКүн бұрын
Sorry I have no clue. How about some frame mounted highway pegs?
@krismerchant4982Күн бұрын

Ok I have a 2024 Africa twin, would you recommend your same advice towards adding forward highway pegs to the crash bars so if bike leans to much to quickly put foot on the pegs so to attempt the same protection your floor board would have?
@BeTheBossOfYourMotorcycle2 сағат бұрын
I’m don’t think that style of motorcycle affords the same amount of protection to do this.

Hi Robert, I've been enjoying your videos for a few years now. But I'm wondering what exactly could you have done to avoid dropping the bike? What was the cause? Thanks for posting this btw😊
