I didn’t think I’ll be into this deck .. then this comes up and I am mesmerized! I never thought of dragons but this deck speaks volumes and the attention to details is great Imo .. the hanged man is showing how we think of dragons as those majestic strong beings, in the place of power in comparison to the tiny little squirrel but it is all about prospective .. ad we see it .. the dragon is looking up and from his place .. the Squirrel looks powerful and big while the squirrel looking down seeing how he isn’t tiny .. and he can be as intimidating as the dragon can be .. just he needed a higher ground! To me it’s saying .. it’s not always black and white .. in the story of squirrel vs dragon .. it’s all about where they stand and their prospective in that meeting

So excited for this and a wonderful video Lisa, thank you!To me the Hanged Man card is showing the squirrel waiting, not moving, almost like "freeze" in fight/flight/freeze, waiting to see the intentions and next move of the dragon.The dragon is actively assessing the squirrel, perhaps with curiosity, holding off on judging the situation. The squrrel is very still on the outside and also assessing the situation but from inside his head, in contrast to the activity of the dragon. Or something like that ;)

To me the dragons position in the Hanged man is unnatural and he seems so sad. It's like he just now, suddenly realized that there was a squirrel hanging upside down... Maybe he realized that he can try to change his perspective too and try to do what the squirrel does

Got some wonderful feedback from Stephanie on the Hanged Man! :) She says: "It’s raining, The dragon is sheltering under the tree looking a bit worried, But the squirrel doesnt gave a care in the world, Doesn’t mind getting wet, It’s all about how you see the situation" :D :D

In Five of pentacles, it seems to me more as if the rain was putting his fire off. But that could be just my pessimistic mind lol. Anyway, thank you for the walkthrough, I'm happy that I could have seen all the cards. I don't have Oak, Ash and Thorn but I've seen it on your channel (of course) and I liked the look of it a lot, so when I saw the team is planning to make dragon themed tarot I was very excited because I love dragons and joined the mailing list and so and they were showing some of the cards via those messages and they looked great... until first card from cup suit was there. I don't like the look of the water dragons there. I know it's rather logical and it's the way the water animals look like but they just seem to frog-ish to me and also have sort of Gloom (Lord of the Rings) to me which is not ideal. But I've thought ok, it's just one of two cards, maybe in the context of the suit and the whole tarot it won't be so disturbing or something, so when I saw you have prototype deck and did a walkthrough I was very excited to see it. And... I admit I'm kind of... not disappointed but sort of... the picture are beautiful and gorgeous and everything but for some reason they don't feel... they don't have the "tarot vibe" for me. I don't know if it make sense and I don't know how to describe it but I don't think I would like to read with this cards. As I said I love the pictures (well except of the cup suits, these water dragons are really not for me) and I wouldn't hesitate to hang most of them on my wall as a poster (I particularly love Sun and Hermit card), but for tarot cards... I don't know something is missing for me... *sigh* Pity. So thanks a lot that I could look at the cards here and I don't need to be sad that I don't have the cards :). Btw - you mentioned Toothless from How to train your dragon and you obviously mean movies, but did you read the book series? How to train your dragon is awesome book series (by Cressida Cowell) that's totally different from movies (of I should say that movies are (unfortunately :( ) very different from the books) and totally worth reading I think, though it might seem to be just children series and first few books seem just lots of fun and light reading but then suddenly breaks and it gets more serious and also some things appearing that I wouldn't expect in children book series and at all and... I just love these books (and hate how different the movies are and hate in particular what they did to Fishlegs, he's such amazing (and important) character in the books. Like why did they bother to buy the rights for the story when they made completely different story? Ugh. Oh well. Anyway. Enough of my talking now. But read it if you haven't read it yet. Or it's also made into great audiobooks that are fantastically performed by David Tennant)

Oh dear! Without even having watched the video & the cards - but the links ... this clicks so many buttons with me. 1) Supporting the abolition of fox hunting (a "sport" for cruel folks who just want to revel in their [gun] "power" & "cleverness") 2) Not producing in a country that's known for human and workers' rights issues and subsequently having to use ships that use lots and lots of environmentally troublesome heavy fuel. (I'm always wondering why tarot card companies don't mind doing the China+Ship thing.) 3) Now ... the nature based theme of the deck ... is another thing. #TeamSeas is also wonderful. So let's hope for some not too bad adds.

The hangedman is interesting to me, because the dragon and the squirrel dont share the same perspective. Yet they could be trying to figure out What the other is thinking about the situation. The squirrel might be scared of the dragon, yet the dragon just seem to be qurious. So where does the situation evolve from This situation - another card could hold that answer🌿 But it seem like the dragon came down the stairs and are exploring the forrest. They seem very observant and curious through out the deck.

Hi Lisa, just wanted to let you know that I chose not to watch the ads and why. Back in April, Mark Rober held a livestream "supporting" the autistic community with donations going to a group called NEXT for Autism. However, despite being pleaded with for days and days by multiple autistic people (including myself), he chose to go ahead with it and nearly $4million USD was donated to a group that actively harms autistic people. He did so after being shown evidence and ignored the lived experience of autistic people. This has led me to believe that he doesn't know how to do his research and can't be trusted to run a fundraiser that will actually make the world better than he found it. I have decided to find a charity that protects the ocean to donate to instead. Please be mindful partnering with him again, he's done enough damage as it is. And if I sound pious or snotty or anything, I apologise, I just thought you had a right to know the person you partnered with and the amount of harm he's caused.

As for my participation in this fundraiser, all money donated is going directly to the Ocean Conservancy and the Ocean cleanup which are both organizations that I already know and trust. I would not have felt comfortable participating in a fundraiser like this if I thought the money was being funneled to any organization or non profit that I don't personally believe in, regardless of who was promoting it. And to be honest, I know nothing about either of those KZbinrs. I did not see myself as partnering with them and I still don't. I see myself as partnered with The Ocean Conservancy and The Ocean Cleanup and my excitement is 100% about my love of these particular organizations and their missions. ♥️ Your tale is certainly a good reminder of how important it is to not mindlessly donate to a non profit on someone else's word alone, and I'm genuinely touched that you found a way to take part in protecting our oceans that made you more comfortable and I thank you for that. ♥️
