There are no shortage of detailed line boring videos all over the internet. If someone "needs" the minutia from soup to nuts, there are plenty of other channels they can watch for that level of detail. Personally, I’m here to watch you work your magic to restore the equipment that gets destroyed from use, misuse or lack of maintenance. I don’t need an hour long video that I’m going to fast forward through in order to get the meat of the job anyway. Short…sweet…and to the point works for me. Thanks for asking for our input. It’s worth exactly what you paid for it. 👍👍

There's so many videos out there if I wanted to watch line boring I could be occupied for several days before exhausting the high-good quality content. In all honestly, I'm here to see some fucked up heavy equipment and their components get reworked to see what I can do in my own field to prevent them from happening or mitigating the severity. I have ADHD so I need a lot of info really fast to keep my attention. I liked the video this way. The only thing I could possibly ask for is to show maybe a tiny bit of the bore welding….to see a little bit of it actually welding rather than just the before and after. But the video was great. Thanks for taking the extra time to film and edit everything…..really enjoyed it.

Hi Greg I have been lineboring for over thirty years when repairing bucket pin bores I always start with the main pin bores then move on to the tilt bores this makes the alignment easier.hope this helps

Hi Greg I have watched all of your videos and really enjoy them! I understand that KZbin is making a bug push for "shorts" or shorter videos but my personal preference is for reasonable length video (say 25-50 min) which includes a good amount of background as to what you are doing & why... This video was OK, but it might have contained a bit more information about the piece of equipment the bucket was attached to and the type of work the machine was doing. Even a generic picture of the loader it came off of would have been nice... With regard to the lower pins that you did not show, it may be received better by your viewers if you avoid saying "I'm not going to show that" but instead something like "I'll also be fixing the lower pins which I'll show you at the end of the video" I do prefer a bit longer videos with more information... Also, certain operations (such as screwing a bolt in and out might benefit by being sped up... The last thing I would recommend is for you to change your format! I very much enjoy and look forward to watching everything you post!

I think the shorter format overall will be more attractive to a wider audience. Not being a welder, I don’t understand when you get into the finer details (like settings on your machines or the size of wire), but it doesn’t bother me either. This vid had just the right amount of line boring; enough to show what’s going on and then jumping forward to the end of that step. Would have been nice to see some of the welding (both by hand and the line welder). As others have said, I enjoy you narrating the problem and how you’re going to fix it. 👍🏼👍🏼

Greasing the equipment on the regular helps too. When that pin seizes in the cylinder eye, it'll twist the outside around as you curl/uncurl and break that bolt.

You should show at least 1 hour long video a month on complex jobs. Maybe have 2 videos of the same project. One for short and one long. There are new guys here and old timers. You have alot of knowledge and us new guys would love to see more of your thought process!

Shorter videos seam to translate well. Perhaps short detailed videos on each tool used could be a good archive/look-up clip, but keep those to (15) to (20) minutes long. I learned so much from this video: "Here we go again! Line boring loader bucket. Your explanation as the beginning setup the clip nicely and was easy to follow along especially since you left certain things out and rather told us about it instead. Thank you.

Mr. Greg, I've got such faith in you and your vids, I start by clicking the "thumbs up" and then I watch the videos. I wonder if they tried "super glue" of "shoe goo" along with their exotic "welding"...... LOL Side conversation: I tried the 3m cubitron sanding disc on my orbital sander to cleanup a painted steel table. It sucked!!!!! Loaded up in two minutes. Nice work on the bolt extraction. What was all that "dirt/crud" the tap pushed out?
