The river I fish in , south Mississippi Escatawpa River, does it's best for catfish on the rise . When the river is falling the catfish doesn't bite to well

Have you guys ever give it a thought changing your trout line position I think you should go vertical along the banks instead of across unless the laws state they have to be attached to one side of the bank if not all it would take is an empty jug with a brick attached to both ends for anchoring and then you should be able to use all floats or lead weights and floats instead all fishing the bottom the time of year does make a difference depending on what the fish are looking to eat that way the whole line is running with the current and it should stay tight I would like some feedback on this theory
