Queenslanders down at cabbage tree point by the looks. Fun video guys, but obviously you need to put a 200 merc on the back of that jet ski.

those 20hp big block OMC motors are amazing. shows you the torque it has pushing that heavy ski around... and only 20hp and setup pretty badly. some playing w. engine height and props and it would be way faster.

Yes I agree chain drive and water off jet unit for cooling👍 However the CANAM MAVERICK BUGGYS are huge and run a belt drive trans mission grab one of them belts🤷♂️

It's a huge georaphic boats and KZbin, you both have excellent fabrication and engineering skills please re do something like this with boats, 'story telling ' and better filming and rebuilding you will reap huge rewards!!!! Not shuttling. Your doing great, not claiming gold deserve

Great work at least your giving it a go! Love the channel.. Why don't you use water pick up off jetunit for engine cooling? Wonder if a chain drive would work? 🤔
@motorfab3 жыл бұрын
The water feed off the jet is a great idea and I will definitely be doing that. As for the chain, chains and salt water don’t mix well at all and when the chain rusts and breaks, it will cut a hole in the bottom of the boat. Also those belts are designs to replace timing chains in high hp applications when chains start to fail. We’re building a new belt drive with a bigger belt.

A push bike chain and sprockets will sort the gearing and strengthen the drive and won't brake the bank

That belt is a lot stronger than a push bike chain

Stock Holden 6 only revs to 4500rpm before the lifters pump up and the valves float. The jet unit makes max thrust at 6800rpm. The 2:1 belt drive keeps the engine rpm low and the 6 cylinder has more than enough torque

Overtaking lane gotta have a live feed the same time .just will have to wait been chomping at bit for a motofab video..
