I moved here when I was 5 from scotland, and stayed for 17 years, same house and everything. We eventually sold it and moved to Canada. That was another 5 years ago, I've never been back. I've not felt as settled since we left. In fact, we just moved across Canada to be closer to England. I can't come back there to live, at the moment it's impossible, financially, but it's the dream to see those familiar streets in person again. Breathe the air and drink the coffee, eat the food as one longs to do when they're abroad for so long. Thank you for bringing the place to life without commentary, allowing the peace of the streets to remind me of where I spent my best years. You showed incredible respect to not film anyone as to make them uncomfortable or suspicious, and as a local I really appreciate it. If anyone loves to look but has never been, I can't urge you enough, as it's the best place in the world to be. You've truly no idea how beautiful it is, how many little parks there are to explore, and how much peace there is to feel. Maybe somebody else will film their mini adventure, and I'll have another video to watch to see how my childhood town has grown. :)

Hereford city centre looks so calm and inviting. The wooden structures of the houses and the contrast of the walls are beautiful! Thank you for sharing this virtual tour, have an awesome day! 🙂

I love Hereford i used to live just down the road from it, in Ross-on-Wye for one year during that time myself and my mates we use to drive from Ross to Hereford for a night out at the likes of Crystal Rooms, Bush Whackers and Times night clubs though that was 20 years ago.

This looks familiar, and unfamiliar at the same time. The oldest buildings are unchanged, of course, but nearly every shop has changed. There used to be an indoor market off High Town. Is that still there? I remember going in that McD the first week of its opening... I think 1984. A friend had two tokens out of the paper for free burgers. I wasn't impressed, but it was worth the cost. Ta for the memories.

Yes the Buttermarket is still open and trading off High Town :-)

@@David-bw7is Oh good. I'd forgotten it was called that... yes the Butter market.

The biggest change is where the cattle market was. That's now all new with parking, restaurants, shops and a Odeon Theatre

Hereford is a shit hole and is only getting worse. Moving out 14 yrs ago was the best thing i ever did.
