I think coating Magnacut is a waste of effort. Neither of these hit my ,but they're excellent. I might like the Pariah if i held it

As long as black knives are trendy there will always be at least one reason for coating them😂 - for practical purposes I agree though, with the exception being true DLC since it also protects the blade from damage during use

You're not crazy, Microtech is Tony Marfione Sr and Heretic is Tony Marfione Jr (TJ) but they are two separate companies entirely

@@Rollshambo gotcha. I thought so. They have some similar(not exact obviously) designs. If you squint a little from a distance, that Pariah ALMOST looks sorta kinda like a Borka Microtech Stitch. Sorta. A little. To me at least.

@jonbeck5945 similar design elements could probably be attributed to what TJ learned about the trade from his family and their contracted design partners..that said having owned both I can see some inspiration but otherwise they're both just sweet pieces in their own right

It is difficult not to compare this to the Artisan Cutlery Xcellerator. The Artisan model can be had in S90V for $189 or standard AR RPM9 for $98. It should be noted that the Artisans are manuals in either frame or liner lock. Also, no reversible clip. Seeing those two together would be "dramatic". Magnacut in that size would be a welcome addition to the collection.
